Zelda HD 1080p screen from tech demo.
Also, Mario Party 9 announced. lol
Wii U specs sheet:
No built in HDD.

Azuardo where did you get those specs?
Yeah I have to agree that no Wii announcements during the show is a bit worrying, but we might be surprised in the end. Nintendo has already done this in the past where they wouldn't announce everything they've got up their sleeves during the show, and put some more trailers on the showfloor, or even demos of never seen before games off the stage.
see that screen at the end. Several titles on there which weren't shown at all during the show, but their names are on there. We haven't seen everything just yet, but no new big Wii games announced, that's preoccupying.
Lets hope it's a high capacity flash drive, 80GB at least.

Not sure where the image specsheet came from, but the quoted specs there are definite.
Also:
No GameCube support.
No Wii game upscaling.
The five big 3DS titles at the start interested me.
The idea of the Wii U intrigues, but the controller is big and probably wouldn't last long on battery. And the name sucks. And almost all the 3rd party games are also on PS360, some up to a year before the U launches.
well you just pooped on my short lived dream about the gamecube

I just came watching the full Skyward Sword trailer. It looks amazing.
Is that pigtail girl meant to be Zelda? So much for those rumours of Egyptian Zelda. Grim.
Check this screenshot out! Definitely flying gameplay!!!
Actually thinking about, wouldn't a Zelda make more sense in the land below, you know, Hyrule? Maybe this is a girl like Ilya, that's Link's incentive to go down there and kick some serious ass.

Probably right man.
Also, Vigil Games says Wii U is more powerful than PS360.
At the very least, Vigil believes that gamers can look forward to ports to Nintendo’s new console that are not inferior to every other version of the game. When we asked Bonstead if he thought it was possible that the Wii U version of Darksiders II would be the best version of the game, he said, "Yeah, just because the hardware is more powerful and it will have some extra features that I think will actually be useful to people playing the game. With it’s controller, [the Wii U version of Darksiders II] might be the best version of the game."
Is no GameCube support definite? That's a massive blow if true.
And Twitter is rife at the moment saying the console includes some mega HDD and Blu-Ray. Don't know what to believe.
No HDD built-in but you can expand the flash memory using your own external USB drive. Sounds like a good idea to me, that way you can upgrade as much as you want without having to buy proprietary stuff that costs a lot of money, reduces the cost of production of the console itself, and the only limit to your storage is how much you're willing to put in buying an external disk drive. (and you don't confuse people with several different versions of the console which have different HDD capacities, every console will be the same in the end)

Reggie is on GameTrailers confirming this shit.
Controller is singletouch; does not support multitouch.
Controller needs to be in same room; no playing around house.
Wii games won't upscale; they'll still be jaggy.
Nintendo America reveal Wii lineup. Still no Xenoblade, Last Story.
Wii Play™: Motion June 13
Mystery Case Files™: The Malgrave Incident™ June 27
Kirby™ Wii Fall
Fortune Street™ Holiday
The Legend of Zelda™: Skyward Sword Holiday
Mario Party™ 9 TBA
Rhythm Heaven™ TBA
It would be a serious slap in the face for American gamers if Europe gets The Last Story AND Xenoblade and they don't get neither of them.
What a relief living in Europe for once...
Also, I can't stop watching that Skyward Sword trailer over and over again. I might have a serious problem.

Nothing at all to warrant excitement yet then. Smash Bros will no doubt be delayed for years as well, disappointing. Microsoft won it for me, new Halo remake and the new Bioshock looks simply incredible.

no blu ras. propriety discs. confirmed by reggie on gametrailers
Darn, so much for my hopes of seeing new wii games announced outside the conference :/. Oh well, I still have plenty on my shelves waiting to be played, a couple more already out that i still need to get my hands on, and there are still xenoblade and last story confirmed for europe + new kirby + skyward sword + others to look forward to. I can't complain personally .

What? You must be in line with the console to have the controller work? wtf is this.
No bluray isn't a problem. The discs are big enough to produce HD graphics. Might be bigger than 360's.
IGN impressions (POSITIVE!):
In short, Nintendo's gamble works. The controller is the best of both worlds, mixing traditional button inputs with the advantage of having an interface unlike anything we've seen from a home console.
-------
One of the more interesting alterations to conventional design is the system features two analog sliders at the top of the controller rather than traditional sticks. Don't make the mistake of thinking these sliders are like the 3DS "circle pad." The texture and top shape of the sliders are much more akin to Wii's nunchuk, meaning the grip and precision of movement are much better.
-------
The tablet itself appears large, but is actually quite comfortable to grip. The two sliders both being located at the top of the tablet make holding it considerably easier. A staggered configuration would only have worked with a much smaller design. Nintendo was also smart in making the new controller extremely light for its size, resulting in something that might look strange but is not as burdensome as it would seem.
-------
Nintendo played an interactive cinematic that put all my fears to rest. The difference in quality between that sequence and this was light years apart, making me wonder why I watched the hawk video in the first place. The second major tech demonstration featured live footage of Japan, with a camera moving down a crowded street, hovering above vehicles. Like the hawk demo, the tablet was also featuring the footage shown on the television. But as I moved the new controller, I was able to see more of the city around me, without altering what was being shown on the larger screen. I could move the tablet upward to see the sky, or downward to see the street moving under me. Even more impressive, I could start to rotate the controller or "aim" it behind me to see where I had been. Pressing a button would also flip the portable display behind me, allowing me to see backwards similar to a rearview mirror. The potential for racing games with this sort of technology is truly impressive.
---------
I played two Mii mini-games on the new console. In a word, they are both fantastic. In concept, execution, scope and entertainment, they are leaps and bounds beyond what you experienced on Wii.
---------
I wasn't able to control Link, but the battle between him and Gohma that I saw was breathtaking nonetheless. Between changing the lighting, camera controls and even the tablet's display, this (Zelda) demo above all the others proved how Nintendo franchises might benefit from increased power. This was gorgeous stuff.
It seems they got the name for the WiiU from the 3DS launch event. Jonathan Ross had been playing Street Fighter IV and his favourite character was Ryu.

Capcom live at E3!
YAY Capcom! Please show something for 3DS or Wii U!
Btw, am I the only one who wants to buy all 5 3DS games that were featured in the conference which are Mario Kart, Mario 3DS, Kid Icarus, Luigi's Mansion 2 and Star Fox 64 3D?
