There should be a Ninja version of that series, so awesome...

Ninja version? What do you mean?

Oh, I think I get you. A game similar to it, but playing as a ninja? Like a mix of Yakuza, Assassin's Creed and Ninja Gaiden. That would be pretty interesting.

Looks shit hot.

Even when playing MGS4 I always felt sorry for Raiden thinking about what he must have gone through to turn from human to cyborg. Never had a problem with him in MGS2. Wonder where else they could have taken him if they never went the cyborg route. Happy to see more of him either way.

Still don't like what they did to Hitomi's face. Animal cosplay does nothing for me either.

Wow. Did not know this.

More details can be found on Sony's PlayStation blog, where they summarize the Tournament System and mention the new planned multiplayer maps as well.

Siiiighhh.....it's sad to see the Uncharted series end (as far as story progression goes) still it'll be nice to see all the "prequel" adventures Nathan Drake will have ala God of War PSP titles. Yay for filler...

I sure hope Naughty Dog gives Nintendo some love....the things they could do if they were allowed to get their hands on Nintendo IPs....Metroid & Zelda DEFINATLY come to mind...or even Kid Icarus since Sora no longer is working on them!!

ND is owned by Sony. You won't be seeing Drake on Nintendo. I imagine Uncharted 4 will be made for PS4.

Most of (if not all) Naughty Dog's previous IPs have left them and Crash even went multiplatform.

Since Golden Abyss wasn't made by Naughty Dog it may have left them already? Idk I was expecting Unkarted first.

I've been looking up Black Ops II, and there's apparently lots of changes to the multiplayer structure coming to this one. Of the many details that I read, some that stuck out were no pro perks, and an entirely different create-a-class system centred around spending points on whatever you'd like. For example, instead of having a secondary, have extra of something else.

I'm going to be getting this one, for sure!

SuperLink, only Crash is multiplatform. Naughty Dog lets something go once they've had enough of it. That's just how they are, and fair play to them. I imagine GOlden Abyss was primarily handed over to someone else because it's a spin-off game, and ND were busy with The Last of Us, and probably have something on the boil for PS4.

( Edited 23.08.2012 15:57 by Martin_ )

Naughty Dog never owned Crash, it was owned by Universal and made as part of a deal with them. Same happened with Insomniac/Spyro

You all heard about Sony closing down their Liverpool studio? The makers of Wipeout, man. Such a bloody sad story.

Ooooh SuperLink you're awesome HAHAHAHAA!!! Great humor there...& I'd buy "Unkarded" if they made it I won't lie. Do you have a 3DS or PSN ID? Send me a friend request, you sound fun to hangout with. I live in Arizona though so as long as the Time Zone difference isn't an issue lets partner up some time.

Very interesting tidbit about PlayStation AllStars..

http://www.gameplox.com/2012/09/05/a-dozen-new-playstation-all-stars-characters-have-leaked/

So in some form or another, these characters will be in the game! Not sure if they're playable or not but.. try it for yourself, I was randomly looking up some Star Ocean stuff and to my surprise the AllStars official website came up in my search which is how I came across this news.

If these characters are playable then the roster is seeming impressively robust indeed! Still increasingly weird about the lack of playable Snake, maybe they want to save him for Smash Bros? Smilie

Perhaps the urge to steal all the Snake moves and assets from Smash Bros would be too great? If Snake appears, it should be old Snake. The only Snake yet to appear on a non-Sony platform.

Just bought Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition off PSN. £15, so it's a nice deal. Massively scary downlo0ad though - 18GB! Took all night to finish, and I had to clear out some stuff from my HDD.

Time for a new PS3 with a mammoth HDD, methinks.

That's a good point. I was gonna say Big Boss possibly but he was recently on a Nintendo platform too..

Actually they seem to love Big Boss lately so it wouldn't surprise me much if he replaced Snake in Smash 4. Or maybe Konami and Nintendo made a deal that Snake could only be included in Smash Bros 4 if he didn't appear in this.. or something. Dunno, but the lack of Snake is so bizarre especially with Raiden and Gray Fox that I feel Nintendo might have something to do with it.

That is of course assuming some other Snake doesn't pop up as you suggested. With all these 'leaked' characters appearing out of totally nowhere I could be surprised by anything at this point.

(also I only just remembered after posting here that there's a thread for PlayStation Allstars, oops.
I was the last poster and I didn't wanna double post, that's my excuse. Smilie )

Well, they like Big Boss because he's a new Snake and he lets them milk the franchise further with the same acclaimed cast. Also, Big Boss appeared on the MGS HD Collection on 360 (MGS3).

Old Snake has only ever been on PS3, thus far.

In terms of the gameplay New N' Tasty! is the same as the original to a large degree, but the flip screen scrolling is, obviously, gone, and subtle camera movements have been added to show more of the environment. The faster Abe moves, the more the camera shifts, up to around 15 degrees. "It gives you a better perspective of the graphics," Gilray explained, "so you can see more into that 3D world, and it also lets you see farther in front of you. So if you suddenly see a Slig patrolling and think, oh s**t, you can hammer on the breaks, slow down a bit and creep past him.
"In the original game you looked through a screen flip and it was like, ah! You run away or you're dead. You had to make your decision before you went through the screen flip in the original game. But with this, because you can see farther in front of you, you can make that change in your gameplay there and then without having to go, I've died, I have to go back to the check point and re-do it."

All the FMVs from the original are now rendered in real-time using the game engine without breaks in the gameplay. The level design and puzzles are 80-90 per cent the same as in the original. Gilray provided an example of a difference. "In the original game, the fifth screen into it, there was a sleeping Slig. When you walked into the screen he woke up. To reset it you just walked off screen and came back on screen again creeping. We don't have flip screens any more, so we've made it so he times out. Say he walks around for 10 seconds and you haven't moved, he won't have heard anything and will go back to sleep again. "It's little things like that. We've not changed it. We've just modernised it because it's not a flip screen game any more."

Other changes include improvements to play balance, the implementation of a quick save system and modified puzzles so they're "friendlier to gamers".
Gilray said he didn't want to use the term "HD" in the game's title because it's synonymous with an up-rezzing of an old game. "We're not doing that," he said. "We're starting from nothing and rebuilding an entire game from scratch."

So, according to the boss of Sony UK, the Vita will receive a price cut sometime next year. When exactly isn't decided yet. Really...strange move to come out and say that with the holiday season coming up. Sometimes weird business decisions like this or the ME Trilogy situation are just really hard to understand.
