Wow, the graphics are amazing (except on the flamethrower, I'm sure Turok 2's flamethrower on the 64 had better graphics than that
)
I might pick this up for the multiplayer, considering the reviews have been pretty good, unlike the first game.
I trust Eurogamer, so it seems they really did make a great game with this one, unlike the first. The graphics look loads like Gears, although I'm not really a fan of Gears. This looks like more my kind of gameplay than GOW. Killzone 2 = GOTY?
I dont think ill be geting it not really a game i go for :/
roll on Disgaea 3
Never even gave this one a thought until I read the reviews. It really looks quite fantastic.
If I ever get a PS3, I'm getting this.

To be honest Martin_ if you ever get a PS3 now is the perfect with games such as Little Big Planet, MGS4, Motorstorm Pacific Rift and Warhawk already out and a bumper 2009 coming up kicking off with Killzone 2 then ending with Uncharted 2, InFamous and God of War 3.
Haha, awesome video
That video was funny for about thirty seconds then it just because something only the SDF would post and in no way does it look better than the E3 2005 pre-rendered trailer.
MGE just roll with it lol. I'm in stitches. It is an SDF video, but if the tables were turned with that video I'd still roll with it.
"Don't cry we have a PS3" lmao I nearly died lol.
Demo was awesome, 20 days left.
awwww I've not seen this "infamous E3 2005 trailer"
What's so infamous about it? D;
Downloaded the demo myself and I thought it was incredible. Felt kinda disorienting at first, so I changed the sensitivity and gave myself a few minutes to get accustomed to it and I loved it. Feels VERY different to pretty much any other FPS I've ever played. Great stuff.

Sony basically did a few really-awesome looking FMV trailers of a few PS3 games back in 2005 for E3, and among them was Killzone 2. Sony initially claimed that it was in-game footage, and then once they were rumbled, they stated that the FMV was representative of what the final games would like like in real-time, which just wasn't true. The Killzone 2 FMV trailer from 2005 looked as good as any film Pixar had done, for example.
Of course, none of the games ended up looking anywhere near as good as their E3 2005 FMV trailers. I mean, Killzone 2 is a fucking great looking game, and that's all that should matter. But you just know that people will forever compare it unfavourably to the E3 '05 trailer. Oh well.
I just played the demo and I have to admit that it is pretty good. The controls feel very tight kinda like Halo.
Looks hectic, you know Ps3 to me seems so much more appealing than the 360. Too bad its so expensive...
It's not that expensive, really. Remember you're getting a good Blu-ray player, as well.

Yeh, i always wondered why people complain about price, when you get a reasonable deal on a blu-ray drive as well as the ability to play games.
Anywayz, I just played the two stages available in the Demo and i'm impressed, once you get the sensitivy of the crosshairs to your liking, it goes uphill from there.
The cover system is actually quite ingenious and simple to use, feels comfortable and intuitive. Hold R2 (if i remember correctly) to take cover, then moving the L stick in any direction lets you peak around the side of that object. Half moving out lets you blind fire by pressing R1 (i used the button mapping function so i'm guessing at the default controls.) When you move full outward you gain the ability to use the scope.
Funnily enough, it doesn't feel like Gears in anyway shape or form, but remains just as fun. Graphics match that of the trailer and with the game running the atmosphere created is just short of spectacular. Blood splashes across the screen as you take hits. Chips come out the wall and fly in your face, the glowing eyes appear in the distance through a smokey fog and you let loose some round from your carbine.
Another thing that is interesting is the weighted feeling they added to the guns and movement. Guns actually feel different when used. The pistol is easier to aim then say a rocket launcher, and the Y axis is slower moving for the heavier weapons, giving the impression of a heavier mass. Another thing noticle is the jump, which includes a slight downward pull before the jump simulating the bending of knees before a jump. Again this makes the whole experience feel that much more realistic.

It's all relative, in my opinion. If you're just after a current-gen games machine, then £300 for something with a 60GB HDD and less/worse games can seem a lot compared to something with a 120GB HDD for £220 (the most expensive 360, at that) and much more and better games. But if you're not bang on the games so much, and just want a general piece of kit about the house that you can do some good current-gen gaming on, and are going to be watching Blu-rays etc, then the PS3 is a great buy.
So it depends. If you're just after some gaming, the 360 is by far the better choice, and much better value in every sense. But if you want to do more than play games, the PS3 is definitely a good shout.
I\'m definitely not after BluRay; and not interested in it in the slightest, except to play video games on, and that\'s the end of that.
I think that\'s where the PS3 starts becoming a bit of a problem for people like me. If Sony price drop it again it\'s only a matter of time before I get my hands on one though.
( Edited 06.02.2009 11:07 by SuperLink )Well there you are, you see. As a games console, it's too expensive, and not nearly good enough on the games front. It may have amassed 4 or 5 great games in it's two-years life span, but that still doesn't even amount to a hill of beans compared to the 360. Nevermind that multi-platform stuff very nearly always looks superior on 360. We'll see what the next year brings in terms of PS3 price cuts and games.

well new chips coming in PS3 soon smaller cheaper so i think they be one soon
dont think it that much now for a ps3 80GB i update my to a 300GB for £40 and it free to go online :/
i still dont get why ppl say its expensive its only £299 if you look you can pick one up for about £220 and wii cost £175
any way i like it not a FPS fan at all but i like a good game idk if to get it soon as it come out or later
( Edited 06.02.2009 11:04 by Jump_button )You can get the 40GB PS3 for around £230. That's still a tenner more than the £220 120GB 360, though. Not to mention I got a couple of games with mine for that price, as well.
