Gorgeous Narnia: Prince Caspian Wii Screens

By Jorge Ba-oh 24.04.2008 14

Traveller's Tales have released a series of gorgeous new screens from the new entry in the Chronicles of Narnia series.

Prince Caspian, the second novel in the Chronicles of Narnia line, sees the kids from the original - Lucy, Edmund, Susan, and Peter - return to Narnia to fend away an evil king.

Traveller's Tales is bringing the adventure to Wii, and from a handful of screens from Game Watch, it does look promising:

Traveller's Tales are usually great. If we're sure this is actually the Wii version, then this could be interesting.

So I wonder if the game itself will be as good?

Not too bad, looks pretty impressive! Hopefully will be one to pick up - film looks fairly good too.

You can clearly see that these Images are not from the Wii Version of the game, I would like to be wrong but there is too much going on with in one of the pictures that have been posted.

I know the Wii is capable of producing images as close to the more high powered machines but at the moment it only seem nintendo know how to harnace this.

Hopefully with the Prospects of the Conduit demo we could be seeing better from third parties. Smilie

But it doesn't look good enough to be on 360...

Is this another Spiderman 3 case? The bloom in that game was pretty awful though. VERY DARK.

It's seems the case that it is on the Wii though - I've updated the article above with a pic of one of the developing team demonstrating the game in action.

Judging by the way it looks on that TV, it looks a bit shite and nowhere near those top screens.

Hard-ish to tell at that angle and that far from the screen, but even without that pic for reference it looks very very very very very doubtful.

It's 3rd party, and it's a movie tie-in. Don't expect miracles.

There are doubts. As LC-screens lose a lot of contrast when looked upon from side. I want to believe and if these screens are indeed Wii-screens, then it's great, wonderful graphics.
And that from a movie tie-in? I can't believe it. But Traveller's Tales ring a bell. They sure are a great company I think.

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

Well, we have the pic of someone playing and it is clear from the image on the screen that these COULD in fact be for the Wii version. We'll know in a week or two.

The fact that they're 1280x720 (720p) is a BIT of a give-away.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

What awful looking 360 graphics! Smilie

They\'re not THAT bad, and it is only a licensed film game remember. You don\'t expect much.

The site talks about the Wii version under the screens but it really can\'t be. Some of the other shots are so far away from any Wii game that it\'s not even funny.

The image with the guy playing the Wii version, look very unlike the images above, now just to through something in here who's to say that the wii cant play images in 720p which would be even better. From what i know it's not programmed into the actually hardware but the software thats displaying these imagaes. If nintendo were to send an update on wii connnect which allowed a higher picture resolution then we would see better visuals as a whole. I may be completely wrong any thoughts????

Holy shit that's a movie to game adaptation on Wii!!
