Great interview Adam, thanks, Thank you Nibris also for taking part.
ROTR-
Like the "sound" [bad joke] of these new weapons and the touch screen homing of targets, that all sounds great. The game looks "fantastic" in all that I have seen around. I think they will bring something distinct that Nanostray 2 wont, I look foward to playing the game eventually, and hope that it improves on the great vertical shooters of the past
[Q]
I like the cloud effects but are you not worried that they may become too much of a distraction once you do speed it up?. I would suggest the colour of the ship be made so that it lessens that issue. Also, do aircraft ever fly under such vertical parralax clouds?. That I think would be a nice gameplay mechanic. You could use it to evade enemies. You could impliment a similar yet more subtle graphics technique that Nintendo have used on Zelda Phantom Hourglass, for when Link moves behind clouds of smoke. It would also be cool if you had to disperse cloud cover somehow [voice?], on some levels to make targets visible. Take inspiration from the finest vertical shooters and have fun experimenting with new twists on old ideas. Good luck with the project!. Please make sure the weaponry is good, that is of the upmost importance in such games, make power upping fun!. There is also the opportunity to pay hommage to a great classic game in the same mould [1941 etc], somewhere.
Sadness-
I hope it is something new within the industry also, the Wii needs a title of this kind, one that demolishes perceptions about what is possible. I am all for such creativity and the harnessing of innate human responses in games, many of the next gen console games do not give you that by way of graphics.
I am more than happy to wait for as long as Sadness will take. If they are attempting a AAA title with a work force a resources of a small team it will no doubt take a while to achieve. To achieve the type of game Nibris wants and some expectant Wii owners want is going to take alot of hard work for a relatively small team. I am going to be patient myself, I just hope what is shown at E 4 All is something that is subtantial. Would love a sneaky peak at Leipzig also, I plan on attending if my friends in Berlin can show me around. It's also going to be bigger which is even more incentive, I would happily go for the weekend date. {LS]
Bloobs -
Not interested myself , but appreciate the fact that they needed to make a title like it also.

I feel mature right now, so let me say this...
Bloob sounds like...boob!

Boobs... Anyway I saw a video of Bloob... Does not look that impressive.

C3: How is the highly anticipated Wii game

I really hope Nibris delivers with Sadness. I have some really high hopes for this game, and their ambtious words gets them even higher.
I'm eagerly waiting to find out anything about this game.
I just think it's nice to see a Polish developer (coming from a Polish family myself.)
Of course, it'll be nicer when I can actually buy their games, since so far every one of them sounds like it might appeal to me once it actually exists in final form.
Is it just me or is the release date always getting farther? I see 2009 now...

Don't worry about it, there's going to be a ton of Wii blockbusters between now and then to keep you ocupied until then I'm sure Nibris wants to make sure this game is perfect before it's released, and could still could still be launched for the 2008 Christmas period.
nibris is kind of honest with their release dates. When you hear Qsomething 200x, you can most cdertainly put the release date back a quarter or half a year. Minimum.
I am unsure wether Double Bloob will deliver content for decent motivation to game on. But I sure hope so. Since Puyo Pop Fever, which I got for GBA for 5 EUR, was so very unproductive (You have to built up your blobs, then start combos, which was sooooo boring), delivered no fun at all - aside from its Doremi-style-presentation - I am a bit cautious.
Is there any reason to believe the Sadness will turn out any better than Escape From Bug Island?
I find the blind faith surrounding nibris on this site absolutely bizarre.
Yes, Dr_R, there is. It's called faith and trust!
To always expect the worst is not very motivating for others, and nibris too.
Furthermore, they delivered great graphics with ROTR and Double Bloob, some cute graphical gimmicks and gameplay, that looks funny. Furthermore they are so kind as to deliver exclusive infos and so help Cubed
Answer this question jesusraz.
Have you seen anything of Sadness from nibris?
In the menu (main menu and the one before a mission starts) and during the slow motion feature of the game, where you can draw on enemies you want to attack the most using super-attacks. Also, the microphone will be used, for example as a
Laurelin, jesusraz and Adam are the same person...i.e. me!
Monkey Wii, the answer's 'no'. I'm pushing for something from them, but until they're ready to show it off, then who am I to demand anything?
What a nice interview. I'm not that interested in DB but can't wait for ROTR and sadness.
I like the way they're hoping to put ROTR Wii on WiiWare, but I think (and I've said this before) they should focus on one or two projects before announcing tons more. I know they're a small team with experience and whatever, but it'd be really nice to see a Nibris game on the shelves sometime soon, eh.

Lol, I noticed that. Well I hope you get that scoop maybe if people recieve such news in a more welcome manner we may all get that. Leipzig time seems like a good time to push a little for something susbstantial on the eveidence of what was said earlier.{LS]
Nanostray is closer to classic shmups like Ikaruga.
Since when is Ikaruga a classic shooting game... ? This is probably the worst example you could find to illustrate what a classic shmup is :-|.
Anyway, good interview. I like when the questions everyone is asking are here. Even if you don't have any answer, at least you see the interviewer is not doing it just to let you know that (s)he has the right to speak with [insert random producer name here].
