Nintendo News | Gorgeous DS Lite Zelda Mod

To compliment a slightly slow news week, a gorgeous Zelda-themed custom DS has emerged complete with intricate sword detail and a golden finish the princess herself would be proud of.

The mod comes complete with a custom designed decal on its face, a black/gold lick of paint, custom styli and a unique charging dock.

I don't know... I like the emblem, but it doesn't work on the DS. The colours are a bit iffy too.

It's more like something you'd keep on display on a shelf rather than a handheld console you'd take everywhere to play with. Still, it looks nice.

I love the emblem. Hate the colours.
And the emblem looks like it would come off a little too easily.
But overall, it is shweet.

I'd hit that. I think it would be way better without the black bits though personally... They look really out of place. The emblem is facking awesome.

The Wii from the same guy is pretty swish as well, with it's crazy neon lights

I like the black bits, I think they keep it from looking like a cheap bit of 'gold' plastic, and give it a bit of style/class. Plus the black nicely 'frames' the whole image of the thing, and is in-keeping with the black buttons. It's perfect. If everything was gold (including the buttons), not only would you miss the buttons on occasion, it'd also look cheap and nasty.

imho with everything gold it would be like DSlite in white: all the same colour.
I think gold looks shite, but he couldn't make it any better. gold-paint itself is looking cheap.

And I think Oni-Ninja needs a girlfriend. *grin, winks*

Well yeah I think the buttons should have been kept black, but other bits just look weird... I wouldn't mind the black being there if the 'placeholder' thing for the GBA slot had been black as well instead of gold, along with the little hinge bits on the top. In fact, maybe the hinge bit on the inside as well, since it looks a bit weird going from black to gold and back to black again...
