INSiGHT | MyM Magazine: Issue 44 (Review) on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The newest issue of MyM Magazine is here and it's just in time for the latest MCM Comic Con. It's the crown jewel of the MCM calendar in central London and this latest show was the biggest ever. The massive attendance ended up making it the biggest convention outside of America. With exclusive all-access coverage, this month there is a complete round-up of everything at the convention, along with interviews with the anime guest of honour, Shigeto Koyama, a veteran of the industry with a considerable resumé.

Koyama-sensei isn't the only talent to provide an exclusive interview this month, though, as Scotland Loves Anime guests Mahiro Maeda and Hibiki Yoshizaki also chat with MyM about their latest works and there is a catch up with comic artist LeSean Thomas, who is working to turn his comic, Cannon Busters, into an anime via Kickstarter.

There are plenty of iconic anime studios that are still to capture the same success that they enjoy in Japan, a great example being Tatsunoko. Likely best known in the West for the classic Speed Racer or Macross, it has an expansive catalogue of great works that any anime fan's catalogue would be enriched by including. This month's issue takes a look at the history and rise of the esteemed studio that has also worked with Capcom for the highly rated Wii fighter, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars.

Staying with anime theme, the magazine picks out six series to watch from the currently airing season. It's one of mostly continuations and sequels, but there are some real gems for those who know where to look.

On top of all these great articles, there is, of course, the usual bevy of reviews, and there are some big releases to look forward to this month. With Fallout 4, Halo 5 and Assassin's Creed Syndicate heading up a ton of games, while the long-awaited Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Battle Tendency and the finale of Naruto lead the way for the manga… not to mention plenty of new anime, movie, and comic releases, too!

Issue 44 of MyM Magazine is available to buy now.
