A large update has been released for Drewseph's ROM hack of the Super NES classic Super Metroid.
Originally released in 2007, Super Metroid Redesign expanded on the original game in a number of ways, with new power-ups, new areas and new enemies. Unfortunately, it was mighty difficult, with a number of issues.
Drewseph has been hard at work on delivering a massive update for the game in the past nine years, and that fan hack has finally been released under the guise of Super Metroid Redesign: Axeil Edition. The game will require a SNES emulator and a ROM of the original game, whilst the actual patch itself is available at Drewseph's website here.
