Two Free Games for Mario Kart 8 Owners in Japan, but for a Month

Over in Japan, the free game promotion for Mario Kart 8 will differ from the European and North American campaigns.

Instead of a free game for purchasing Mario Kart 8, fans in Japan will receive two games, but only playable for a month after redemption. After trialing both games, only one can be bought to play beyond the trial period at a 40% discount. Free games to download include:

  • Game & Wario
  • NintendoLand
  • Super Mario Bros. U
  • Pikmin 3
  • The Wonderful 101
  • The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD

So long story short, Japan gets the short end of the stick in a Nintendo game deal.

Yeah, that's the short end of the stick in my opinion too. though if one is fast enough, they could finish both games free of charge. But as a collector, yet slow player myself, I prefer what we have over here over what they're getting.
