Early Footage of Cult County Wii U in Action on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Renegade Kid have posted debut footage of an early alpha build of first person survival horror tale, Cult County.

The new first-person survival horror tale makes a return to exploration/action titles like Silent Hill and Resident Evil, driven by fan input and a currently ongoing Kickstarter campaign. The studio have put out an early look at the game in action, which finds protagonist Gavin Mellick exploring his dust storm-ridden hometown in search of his older sister, Alissa.

Well, I'm impressed! Smilie

I really hope this game gets funded! I was disappointed when Shadow of The Eternals didn't get funded, so maybe this can pick up some of the survival/horror/mystery slack that the Wii U is lacking.

Working like a fiend isn't very fun... and surprisingly isn't very fiendish either.

I thought Denise Dyak said there was something else exciting that came up which would help the game continue on regardless of it not making it's kickstart goal. What's changed since then?

The game has been put on indefinite hold. Dyack gave a farewell, of sorts, that can be read here: http://www.precursorgames.com/forums/index.php?threads/precursor-games-update.2906/

Also, one of the founding members of Precursor games, Ken McCulloch, was arrested for child pornography, which I'm sure didn't help their image to the public.

Ewww.....ouch yeah that sucks. Well I don't blame them for wanting to step away from the press for awhile...I can't even imagine how depressed Dyack must feel right now, poor guy.

Yep, and there have been so many people asking for it to be on 3DS again that they added that as a system on the kickstarter. The reason they took it off at first when expanding to the other systems is that the 3DS doesn't support the Unity engine.

Ooooh OK !! With the absence of talk about the game for so long, it had fallen off my radar, so I didn't quite follow the rare tidbits of info coming out about it. Regardless I wish them good luck with it, no matter the platform. I might go with the Wii U version eventually, as this just seems so good, from the look of things ^^ !!

But Nintendo was talking about bringing Unity Engine to 3DS, any more info on that so far?
