A group of modders have devised a way to play SNES games online using original hardware and controllers.
Playing retro games online is nothing new in the world of contemporary gaming. Most emulators include netplay features, but the novelty comes in being able to do so relatively easily on the original console. Called SNESoIP, the setup transfers the game's input sequences over the internet, which are then played back on the receiving console.
The project has a guide for those wanting to try it out, here.
