New Pokémon X and Pokémon Y Fishing 3DS Gameplay on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

More gameplay footage of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y was shown during the Pokémon Smash TV show earlier today.

Several of the different hosts went hands-on with the latest build of the game, where our trainer explores a more beach/tropical-like setting, dabbles in a handful of fishing sequences and a tricky Pokémon battle to wrap things off.

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y launches worldwide on October 12th 2013.

Amazing!  Two more old Pokémon (Remoraid and Octillery) confirmed!  The only part I dislike is the shadow while surfing is still here...  Great Balls return, too!  Kinda obvious, but to actually see it in game...

Holy crap he walked diagonally.

This looks so awesome! ...but the kind of lengthy moment (black screen) before going into wild pokemon battles would probably get super annoying after a while, especially if you're just walking through an area without a repel Smilie

Out of battle animations and non-existant transitions look rough. The battles look amazing though!

I think that's actually due to lag after having looked at the transitions a couple times... From sea to land seems to be the more obvious hiccup. Still, looks amazing on the whole. So many little flourishes <3
