Unconfirmed Reports Suggest Nintendo are Distributing Free Wii U Dev-Kits on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Rumour: Reports doing the internet rounds this weekend suggest that Nintendo have been distributing free Wii U dev-kits.

Whilst getting up and running on the Wii U has become a more streamlined process with help from Nintendo, it seems the House of Mario might be laying down an increased incentive for certain studios by offering free developer kits.

According to a tweet from Destructoid's Jonathan Holmes, he's heard "more stories of Nintendo giving developers free Wii U dev-kits. Could lead to victories".

Nintendo has yet to comment on the reports, but it true could certain strengthen the currently fickle third party support.

What do you think of the approach - giving away Nintendo Wii U developer kits to studios?
