Mario Sports Mix Gets Slimey on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo confirmed another Square Enix addition to the Mario Sports Mix roster today, the addition of Dragon Quest's Slime.

The adorable smiling blue blob was officially announced as part of the existing Nintendo/Final Fantasy line-up, which includes the likes of Mario, Luigi, Moogle, Cactuar and Black Mage. Slime falls under "tricky", with the ability to summon fellow slime to build a huge tower as part of his special move.

Mario Sports Mix is out November 25 in Japan, with other regions set to follow sometime in 2011.

Now, let the Geno fans flame. I'm not a huge fan of him, but even without that note, it was slightly obvious that he wouldn't appear.

But a Slime playing dodgeball? Any other sport? Uhh....
