Astro Boy Flying onto Wii, DS on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

High Voltage software will be bringing the much loved Astro Boy franchise to the Wii, PS2 and PSP.

Last week D3 Publisher has announced plans to bring a game based on the upcoming CG movie to various platforms, High Voltage crafting the home console and PSP editions and developer Art Co working on the DS version. Astro Boy: The Video Game won't be making its way to high-definition machines at present.

You'll be using the little chap's arsenal of weapons and abilities, including his Arm Cannon, Butt Machine Guns and Drill Attacks against whole hordes of robots and unique enemies. As well as regular platform and Wii-remote waggling action there'll be flight sequences to pilot as Astro Boy's rocket boosters take him up into the skies. There'll also be the option to play with a friend in co-op in the Wii / PS2 version.

If it's anything like Treasure's GBA game, I'll definitely be playing it!

If it's anything like Sonic Team's PS2 game, I definitely won't be playing it!

Well given that High Voltage Software is developping it, i assume they'll bring their top notch technology for the Wii once more, so it might be interesting.
