Capcom's Wii Fighter Scores High in Famitsu

Following last week's shock revelation of SEGA's 428 on Wii achieving a perfect score in Famitsu magazine, the latest issue has more reviews for readers to ponder over. Several big-name games appeared in the review listings of this week's Famitsu issue, such as Capcom's eagerly awaited Wii fighter, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, Square Enix's Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales 2, Elebits' first foray into DS territory and Tecmo's much-delayed Battle of Argus on Wii. Some games received very impressive scores from the four Famitsu reviewers, yet obviously the major disappointment has to be Tecmo's Wii remake of what was a very enjoyable PlayStation 2 game.

Check out all the scores below:

  • Tatsunoko vs. Capcom (Wii, Capcom): 8 / 8 / 8 / 8 - (32/40)
  • Chocobo to Mahou no Ehon: Majo to Shoujo to 5-Jin no Yuusha (NDS, Square Enix): 8 / 8 / 8 / 8 - (32/40)
  • Elebits: Kai to Zero no Fushigi na Tabi (NDS, Konami): 7 / 8 / 8 / 8 - (31/40)
  • Chou Kaseki Monster Battle: Gekitotsu Galaxy (NDS, Disney): 7 / 7 / 7 / 7 - (28/40)
  • Souhashiki Gadget Robo (NDS, Creative Core): 7 / 6 / 6 / 6 - (25/40)
  • Argos no Senshi: Muscle Impact (Wii, Tecmo): 7 / 6 / 6 / 5 - (24/40)
  • WALL-E (Wii, THQ): 7 / 6 / 6 / 5 - (24/40)
  • Yattaman Wii: Bikkuridokkiri Machine de Mou Race da Koron (Wii, Takara Tomy): 6 / 6 / 6 / 4 - (22/40)
  • Rekishi Gunzou Presents: Monoshiri San Goku Shi (NDS, Global A): 6 / 5 / 5 / 7 - (22/40)
  • WALL-E (NDS, THQ): 6 / 6 / 5 / 5 - (22/40)
  • Rekishi Adventure: Quiz San Goku Shi Tsuu DS (NDS, NCS): 6 / 5 / 4 / 5 - (20/40)
  • Major Wii: Perfect Closer (Wii, Takara Tomy): 4 / 4 / 4 / 3 - (15/40)
Which, if any, of the above games are you keeping your eye on?

A great score for Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, too bad its chances of releasing out of Japan is low. Smilie

Tas vs Capcom looks fucking ace. Visually very appealing, smooth Capcom fighter - really hope it comes out here in some form Smilie

I'm hoping for a Europe release, this would be a great title to add to my Wii collection.

I'm suprised that it didn't get a bit higher in the scores.

I am importing it if it doesn't come out, I would prefer the Japanese dubbing anyway. Its just so much effort to play imported games.

From a magazine that usually rates RPG games, 8s across the board is solid score. The game has it\'s quirks, like the button configuration which may have meant it was docked points.

Aside from the score, Okami fans are in for treat with this game Smilie

I get a import copy soon, 13th-20th December. I will be reviewing it for another site.

Will prolly import this from japan unless it decides to make it to the US but I aint keeping my hopes up for that. The game does look bloody awesome though Smilie

I really need a good way to import games now. The shop that used to do imports has pretty much stopped. Smilie
