When they first announced Mercenaries I didn't really care about it but now it's one of the 3DS games I'm most looking forward to.
BTW here are some 3D pictures of Disneyland to view on your 3DS if anyone is interested:

Also a star for Lewis. Mercs and Revelations both sound awesome! Thanks for the info.

I was testing out how far the Spotpass wireless range was using mine and my bros 3DS's and surprisingly it's quite small. My bro's 3DS couldn't detect mine even though they were about 3 meters apart.O_O It was only until I moved the 3DS's right next to each other that they detected each other. My 3DS had a case on so maybe that could have played a part?
And another thing, go into the options on Street Fighter and in game settings turn of 3D display. The frame rate improves by a lot.
Hell yeah, finally! I got the TenPeat medal in Super Street Fighter IV! I was trying that for hours yesterday already but my luck just said "Fuck you!" and always matched me up with someone way above my skill level when I had a good amount of wins racked up. Lots of rage went on that time. Good thing that my sanity is strong enough to hold me back from throwing my 3DS or breaking something else. I feel that I'm slowly getting better though. Really feels awesome tbh. I already fought with Ken a bit today and I'll try to learn some other characters too now.
I noticed, I did the TenPeat medal for the 3D Versus fights but apparently I got the medal for the normal ones too. Seems like 3D matches count for both types of medals.
Got myself a copy of Samurai Warriors: Chronicles today. This is my first ever SW game and although I've only completed a couple of stages, I'm finding it to be very fun!

Here's another collection of 3D images you can view on your 3DS. These one's are taken from games like Batman Arkham Asylum and Mass Effect.

New free DLC mission for Samurai Chronicles. The scenario will be automatically downloaded to those who have Spot Pass enabled in the game's wireless mode menu. Once downloaded, you'll able to select it from the Gaiden (-伝) option in the Musou Enbu (無双"武) chapter select screen.

I really hope Camcom bring Evil Ryu & Oni to the 3DS version as DLC:

Got a SF lobby up, somebody join meh.
Great games SirLink. You're much better than you said you were and your the best I've played so far on my friend list. Sorry about leaving though, my 3DS was flashing red plus I got some work to do for tomorrow. They were some awesome 50+ matches. XD

In case you didn't notice, I had some annoying lag problems the first dozen or so matches for whatever reason. I lost count of how many Super and sometimes Ultra combos I accidently pulled off because of that(+ some useless jumping around lol). Later on, I used them for the lulz when I lost for sure though.
I think I did pretty well for only being 20 hours into my first Street Fighter game and probably my first fighting game I actually play for real. Let's repeat that sometime when I'm hopefully a little bit better and experienced with characters other than Ryu, Ken and Akuma, though I only started to train a bit with the last two today, so I'm not really experienced with them yet.
PS: My left thumb is a fucking wreck after all those intense matches.
I've been reading up on some of the finer points of street fighter such as reversals, technicals, cancels and the like and I just don't understand any of it. Can someone explain with easy examples? Its confusing the hell out of me and I'm having difficulty doing SF arcade on Medium I feel so lame at fighters.

I just can't get the hang of the game at all, its frustrating me completely. Anyone want to play multiplayer?
I just button mash and hope for the best, most of the time.
I'm also really struggling to get any sort of combo going, even on training. Windows where you have to be accurately timed with your button pressing is so small and accurate.
I'll give you a few matches Echoes. I'm crappy too. Are you still online nao?
EDIT: Scratch that, I had better go. Just remembered I have to be up early tomorrow. Might have a few fights with you tomorrow.

Is this for all regions? Or just Japan?
Glad I got SW:Chronicles. :3 It's awesome.Japan for now, but it should be rolled out here free of charge also. The same kind of thing will happen with DoA Dimensions when it's released. That game has a free costume pack due.
Anything released before May should be free.

Well, I guess that's a nice consolation for me getting my ass kicked 95%+ of the time. I think I've won 3 of those matches...immense victories for me, I'm telling you. You're by FAR the best player I've fought so far. I doubt anyone else I've played with online did such combos with the same ease as you, if any. Same goes for the defense. I only pulled off a L3 Focus Attack followed by a Metsu Shoryuken once in all those matches, which was pretty much how I reliably used it all the time so that was all useless. I had to scratch doing reversal Shoryuken's when getting up too because you just block them everytime, something that nobody usually did so far. Oh well, I at least hope that being stubborn and not giving up paid off and improved my skills, even by a little bit.

A reversal is just basically preforming a special attack as soon as you've blocked an attack, got off the floor or recovered from a hit. You have to make sure you leave no frames open so it has to be timed exactly. It's easier than it sounds though. The advantage of a reversal is being able to break the opponents super armor on one of their moves, so for example a reversal will knock an opponent out of a focus attack charge. Don't constantly do reversals though because you'll leave yourself open, just do it when you know it's going to hit.
Cancels are a bit more advance so I doubt you'll need them yet, I'll explain what it is though. A cancels is just basically using the focus attack during a special attack so it'll stop the attack all together so you can carry on the combo. It requires 2 blue bars (super bar) to do this.
BTW what character are you using? Some characters are a lot harder to play with than others. Also don't worry, medium gave me some difficulties when I first started too.
L said:
You definitely did improve during that session. You managed to catch me out with the tatsumaki over my hadoukens a lot and your throws were well timed.
To improve though I suggest practicing the crouching medium kick to hadouken combo. It's extremely useful and I use it all the time. It's better than using crouching hard kick because it doesn't leave you wide open and it'll do chip damage even if they block it. Only use crouching hard kick when you know it's gonna hit otherwise your character is going to take damage if they block it.
Also try to do some cross ups. A cross up is when you attack your opponent to the opposite direction they are blocking. For example jumping over your opponents head and hitting them on the back rather than the front and since they're holding block in the opposite direction they're going to get hit. It's easier to do cross ups when you're opponent is getting off the floor. I was doing it with Akuma's air tatsumaki if you can remember? You can do it with Ryu's medium air tatsumaki too when your opponent is about to get off the floor.
You definitely should try to play with some other characters too. Maybe then our fights would be much more well balanced. Speaking of that, I remember in one match where we didn't manage to successfully hit each other for like 20 seconds and the narrator said something like "Those two are equally skilled!". I laughed when I heard that thinking "Well, that's just plain wrong." XD.
PS: Capcom apparently embargoed their entire Capcom Captivate event till next Tuesday that's supposed to kick off today, so they really must have something big to reveal. If it really turns out to be Monster Hunter 3DS, wanna do a few quests on Tri as celebration?
I laughed at the price of 3DS. £200 is ridiculous. That's more than a 360. The battery is crap, too. Manny at uni brought his one in and was trying to show it off, but nobody really gave a shit. Then it died after a short time. Lol.

I'm loving the thing, the first console I've brought at launch and I haven't been dissapointed. I haven't noticed the battery life yet either tbh.
Some woman actually used a 3DS to catch her husband cheating on her. When I read the headline I didn't even think of Streetpass being used, more like the 3DS being set up somewhere and taking pictures on voice or something.
Oh yeah, The Sun continues to attack Nintendo and the 3DS with some more ridiculous bullshit. Seems like they want to start a war.
