Anyone downloaded Super Mario Bros 3 on the 3DS? The emulation is terrible! Flicky-ness on the right hand side and a thick blue line on the top and the left hand-side. Great game ruined by poor porting!

Flynnie, it was like this on NES . Put your cart back in your NES if you don't believe it, it's just a result of the NES not being able to handle vertical and horizontal scrolling at the same time. All games which had multiscrolling on the NES had this.

Ah thats a shame I do have a GBA version which i used to play on my micro all the time. I had to go back to it to make sure that i wasn't going crazy. Sheesh! I feel like i got screwed! Why not port the GBA version to the VC instead! Grrrrr!
Thats a shame Mush, i guess i hadn't really noticed this before! Not quite old enough to remember the NES at the height of its era (played one as a child) but i am from the late 80's so by the time i was old enough to hold a SNES pad (around 4) i was kinda hooked on that!

Consoles such as the NES, SNES, Master System and Mega Drive (Oh, and the Game Gear!). Pretty neat, if you ask me! Especially since I got an awesome collection of games with them. First consoles I actually had bought for me were the N64 and GBC.Mush said:Flynnie said:Nothing to do with terrible porting, that's how it was in the original game too. Sadly I don't own any of these retro consoles anymore. Mum got rid of the NES, SNES and Master System (don't actually know why and where they went...) My Mega Drive was stepped on by my mother, as was my Nintendo 64. Thankfully now I have a desk for all my consoles, so those tragic incidents never occur again. I can't even remember what happened to my Game Gear!

Yea i should have realised how naive i was to think the version I thought of SMB3 was a NES game...it did always kind of shock me!
I had a SNES and a MasterSystem, but like you my N64 was the first console brought for me.
I am still lucky enough to have all my old consoles with games and fully working pads! Although they start to take up room after a while...unfortunately mine are hidden under the bed...i can't handle the shame of bringing a girl back to my room one night with a litter of games consoles everywhere. I've got 3 out and thats bad enough! haha.
Some girls like it, My girlfriend always plays COD, plays it more than I do, annoys me actually I'm sure she does it just for the attention. Having old SNES's out and stuff is a different matter I guess though
