Fuck year E3 Thread. This is the kinda stuff I love C3 for.

Last year was my first IRC, and it was really fun (highlight was Golden Sun, easily)
Warning: Expect me to say embarrassing things, it's what I do best.

It's gonna be fun on a bun!

Predictions:

Xbox 720
PlayStation 4
Nintendo Poo

Mention of Uncharted 3, but nothing shown (maybe some generic trailer not from the game). Killzone 3 will be shown, Agent, Super Mario Galaxy 4 (they're going to skip the '3' out of respect for SMB3). MS will show Gears of War 3, Perfect Dark 2, Fable III, some Natal stuff.

People in the crowd will be prompted to applaud at numerous points during conferences, but as the week draws on they will be less-inclined to do so. The MS, Nintendo and Sony guys will all glare angrily at each other from booth to booth. There will be lots of balding men in the conference halls.

Attractive women will be employed to entice men who don't actually have a chance, unless they are the head of one of the companies present. Capcom will announce Super Street Fighter IV Turbo.

I won't be able to watch the Microsoft one, I'm working then. Will be online and on chat for the Nintendo and Sony ones though. I love this every year, can't wait. ^_^

The Natal one is in less than 3 hours...? Anyone else staying up for it? I may well do.

Also can people post links to decent live streams pleeeeaaase?

For some reason it only just clicked in my head that we're gonna be seeing the 3DS in two days. Now I'm mega hyped. XD

Finally, the one year I'm home for E3, and guess what? I'm booked solid for all 5 press conferences!

I thought the Natal one wasn't being live streamed and was instead being shown later, at the same time as the Sony conference? Has that changed? I was pretty sure that it was a 'no livestream/no video/no photos, text reporting only' event, then GameTrailers were showing it a couple of days later.

It's so close. I hate it when fake rumors spread at this time.

Anyone claiming to know anything about new announcments/hardware are probably just doing so to cause a stir. I won't believe anything till I hear it from official sources. Like the 3DS blog claim or IGN constantly promising that a new Kid Icarus is guaranteed to be shown every year.

Sony seem to have already announced a lot of their big games so wonder what new games, if any, will be announced. Will mainly be Move focused I guess and possibly a PSP2 announcement.

Nintendo look set to have a great show though I wonder how they'll portray the 3D to everyone. Maybe just use some cheesy advert of grandma and grandad (with the grankids) playing 3DSs to demonstrate how the games should look when they play them up close?

Microsoft are having a seperate Natal event so hopefully their main conference pulls a few surprises.

I'd like to see the Game Boy make a comeback. I'd like PS4 to have discs that hold 500GB, Poo to have better graphics, and 720 to be able to do bacon n' eggs.

The Poo had better have HD. Didn't realize there existed a lag problem for the Wii on HD TV's that, while hardly noticeable, did screw with rhythm games and games requiring top notch platforming and jumping skills (looking at you MM9 and NSMBW).

So, think we'll FINALLY see F-Zero/Pikmin 3/StarFox on Wii? I've been expecting to see them at E3 for years now, almost given up hope. Pikmin 3 has been in the pipeline for aaaages, MUST be nearly finished by now, surely...

I'm quite looking forward to Sony but really, anything else I can catch. I'm easy

Mm, interested to see what Sony have planned for Move, as far as I know all we've seen are tech demos for it. Definitely looking forward to the big three conferences, dunno if I'll watch the others or not.

Predictions from someone who is not me:

Looking forward to being told that all I want is more Zelda, Metroid and Mario as usual.

Natal conference has come and gone (Kinect? WTF?), and a supposed leak before Microsoft's main event today;

Kinect looks awful, in my opinion. I'm sure it will be great for people who like to play those types of games and don't mind waving their arms around aimlessly. But for someone who wants precise control, I doubt they will get much use out of it (maybe just for the dashboard usage).

It doesn't appeal to me at all and I can't see any proper games getting use out of it, because the controls would be horrific.
