I'd be quietly celebrating...the cheering/whooping culture of E3 grates on me.

EDIT: Pretty sure it's Kinect with the emphasis on cutting at different angles.

On the note of the original subject of this post, I think the whole mass public hand out of consoles thing was a bit off, really. Seemed like a bit of a sweetener thrown in at the end after all the Kinect stuff. You have to hope that the majority of people wouldn't let their viewpoint be affected by that, but you know some people will be... Of course it's nothing new, but it seemed blatantly to get applause, and wasn't a relatively inexpensive item like Nintendo handing out a game to everybody the other year.

Glad I missed MS' conference. I would've cried if I was 360 only. Knighty so sorry u have to work on that thing. The little I saw at GameSpot made me want to throw up.

Hopefully the better two don't disappoint.

MGS Rising looked awesome, but aside from the cool Live integration of Kinect, it was a dull show. I feel sorry for that little Chinese girl, she's getting .giffed to shreds right now.

Just got back from work, will be watching Microsoft's conference soon. Sounds like I didn't miss much though. Hopefully Nintendo's will be more impressive. With the 3DS being shown tomorrow, I'm sure it'll be pretty exciting. ^_^

Yep, EA's show was great. Much better than MS, and sets the bar high for tomorrow. My wanted list mirrors Knighty's exactly.

But yeah Dead Space 2 is what I'm hyped for on this one.

Once Ubisoft came out on stage and proceeded to have a demo of their new fitness game, I had a Vietnam-esque flashback to E3 2009 (or was it 2008?), when they showed Wii Fit for the first time. Oh god, oh god oh god oh god...

The new Metal Gear looks absolutely badass, though. That's the only thing I was really amazed about. Everything else = fairly decent to crap.

Just finished watching the Microsoft conference. Nothing exciting at all for me really. Kinect looks cool, but only the StarWars and maaaaybe the pet game interested me, and they're not enough to make me buy it. All the WiiSports/WiiFit rip-off stuff was embarrassing.
I do like the look of the Xbox Slim, but I'm not gonna get one, happy with my Elite.
Ah well. I'm expecting Nintendo's conference tomorrow to be something special, fingers crossed it doesn't disappoint. ^_^

Did anyone see Child of Eden? That looks nice. Think Rez 2. It's the brainchild of the same guy, even.

Rising looks bad ass but this one isn't directed or written by Kojima so I'm excited to see how that turns out. Getting it on PS3 though, but those graphics did look insane. Very much surpassed my expectations.

Can't wait to see 3DS today.

That USA Today paper usually ends up showing off new Nintendo hardware the morning it is announced, so pics of the 3DS will probably emerge before Nintendo's conference. Not that I'll be looking at them, of course.

Ahhh so glad I didn't buy my Xbox360 for full price. Or else I would have been extremely cut with the new slim Xbox360 announcement. Kinict is pretty cool but otherwise an alright performance for MS.
