I hate to bring it up all the time, but tis a shame you aren't playing the 60Hz version.

Well yeah, but thems the breaks. I actually have a quasi-solution for 50Hz on my television. It does nothing for the speed, but if you have a game with an unoptimized resolution (i.e. the game uses none of PAL's extra resolution and introduces the black bars), which is basically all PSone games - put your TV into 14:9 mode if you can.

In 14:9, all my PSone Classics look perfect full-screen. Not stretched into widescreen, mind. It's as if you have a full-screen 4:3 presentation, with perhaps an ever-so-slightly stretched width. Works wonders, highly-recommended! Doesn't do anything to the speed, like I said. But it's something.

Well if you like 9 Martin then you definatly need to give the older FFs a shot, or at the very least 4 & 6....maybe 5 but I felt the story was really bland.

Yeah I love 9 as well cause it feels like a genuinely old school FF lile the ones I played in SNES. So yeah if you loke the story & fantasy feel of 9 definatly play the older ones too since the creator made 9 specifically in the original style.

We've had ours. Apparently ends on the 27th March.

Ok cool thanks for the update...uuum any chance the Vita will also display the reduced pricing (since there's no "Games On Sale" option visable on Vita's PSN) or can you atleast purchase the sales price PSN games from your computer then download them to your Vita?

My ps3 freezes after being on for 5 minutes, which means I can't complete the latest update that will allow me to log into the psn via my ps3 AND my psp won't activate it's screen or interface...by that I mean I can flip the switch & turn the thing on...but nothing happens after that, no screen boot up or menu movement sounds when I flick the D-Pad around. It just starts up & makes the booting/UMD spining sound forever & never lights up...T_T

Errr....crap, it says there that only PS+ members get the discount & we're screwed over. I'm not wasting $50 of my hard earned dollars on a mere discount...ESSPECIALLY A DISCOUNT ON A GAME I ALREADY OWN!!!!!!!! Was the discounted pricing on pns games only provided for Plus members as well?

I don't know if they're on sale now, but if not, they could be going on sale tomorrow, 21st March, since I think it's a 1 week sale.

But I should imagine that if you can access the PS Store from your Vita, you should be able to download them off there.

Otherwise, there is a program called MediaGo that lets you access the PS Store that way and download to your computer, then tranfer to PS3/PSP/and probably Vita. Games might be hidden away, so you may have to manual search in MediaGo for the games you want if they aren't easy to find.

Yeah thanks I got Media go....but it's still the same price listed on there. I'm not doubting it's on sale now, it WAS $19.99...but now it's listed as $9.97 for PS+ users & it's at $13.99 for the rest of us...I REALLY hope it drops more cause I REFUSE to pay more than $5 for a game I already own...this is just bull to offer a standared 50% price drop for club stuff, SOny (sorry but they deserve it for this greedy crap they're pulling) didn't do that before even when they introduced the PS+ program.

This is amazing! Vorash, even you'll love this.

.....Oh my god Azu...I NEED THIS GAME NOW!!! Not only does Mog make an appearence but you've got Ultros & Chupon as well!??? Please tell me this stoey based & not payed DLC PLEEEEAASE!!!!

This actually makes me forgive Square for the dumb out of place decision of putting Mass Effect M7 armor as DLC in 13 2!! (Geek squeal of joy!!)

It's DLC mate. All these Colisseum battles are paid DLC. Square mentioned they will be bringing well-known enemies from past FF games out as Colisseum DLC. So far there's been Omega, Lightning & Amodar, Sazh, Jihl Nabaat, and now Ultros & Typhon. It's only $2.99, which isn't much if you're going to get a thrill out of battling them. They can join your party afterwards, too (past DLC monsters weren't 100% capture rate, but I think Ultros is a 100% capture).

Since I've completed the game, the DLC battles are a bit pointless for me, unless they add to the story, or are quality enemies like Ultros. But if you're about midway through the game, at a point where you can beat them, getting them in your party proves very useful.

I'm not really complaining about stuff like Mass Effect or Assassin's Creed costumes. Sure, it looks silly and out of place, but hey, it's optional, and it's not like you have to buy it. For Mass Effect fans, it's a bonus, and then a bit of pocket money for Square.

So has anyone here heard any new news regarding Final Fantasy Dimensions? It's been rumored to be a remastered (possibly expanded) take on Dissidia using an updated version of the FF7 Crisis Core engine.

Where've you heard that? Dissidia itself expanded on the Crisis Core engine.

From any of the digging I've done, there is no information out there regarding "dimensions" except for a copyright Square-Enix filed back in January. Speculations is that it may be a 3DS game. That's just guessing off the title though. Sounds legit.

Yeah that's all I've found as well, & no Azu I'd say Dissidia didn't really expand upon CC's engine, I'm talking about the ingame engine for cutscenes where Zack had all his fingers move, hair flows freely, lips VERY articulate & everything, FAAAAAR & away better than the special preboss fight cutscenes found in Dissidia.

Alright, that's up for debate. I'm just saying Square used the CC engine to make Dissidia.

Right but they didn't update it is what I'm saying. If you look at the textures ALONE that shows inferior quality compared to Crisis Core which was Advent Children like in cutscene quality & it's file size IS larger than Dissidia....so what's there to debate here?

Here's an interesting thread I found on gamefaqs.

http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/997785-final-fantasy-working-title/60271008

What would you guys like to see in this remake?

Hmm, On/Off voices would be a nice touch to keep that classic feel. I like the Duodecim-like world map idea, too. Loved the world map in that game. How about original/updated options for the soundtrack? Apart from that, all the usual obvious additions. New dungeons, Espers, bosses etc. Cameos of bosses from other FFs, perhaps.

In other news, pre-ordered Theatrhythm.

Wow, we haven't even gotten an announcement for FFV 3DS yet and people are already talking about FFVI? Madness. Smilie

Surely the "Final Fantasy (working title)" on 3DS turned out to be Theatrhythm?

No, an FF 3DS game is in the works, that's all that is known.

But iirc the "Final Fantasy (working title)" was revealed in a list last E3 before Theatrhythm was announced.

I'm just saying that working title could have turned out to be Theatrhythm.
Unless I missed something.

Twitter | C3 Writer/Moderator | Backloggery

Well if you look at the listing under T you'll see Theatrythm there but the FF (working title) is still posted, IF theatrythm was the working title then gamefaqs would've taken down the tentative game. I get what you're saying though, samething happened with RE Revelations but once Capcom announced the game gamefaqs changed the listing, samething should've happened here if Theatrythm was it.

It also makes more sence that the official numeric FF5&6 would be releasedon the 3DS since 3&4 were on the original DS AND Square was quoted on saying they felt the DS wasn't strong enough to do whT thwy wanted so they were waiting for a more capable handheld to put 5&6 on.

And thus...the 3DS!
