Toy Story 3 9/10

Everything I wanted it to be, and once again proves that you don't have to worry about quality when you're watching a Pixar film. A scene near the end, with the characters holding hands together shows Pixar's strong ability to create powerfully emotional scenes, without being sappy. Go see it twice.

Toy Story 3: 9/10

Managed to get in to a screening of the film through Uni stuff.

Pixar delivers another winner (as if that was ever in doubt...) amd have a perfectly beautiful end to the trilogy. Some suprisingly deep and emotional stuff that we all come to expect, as well as a fantastic story and cast of characters.

Loved it all the way through. Well worth the wait. Of course, I have to wait 2 weeks to see it again.

Alright, alright, alright, forget all the reviews. Those "critics" are the type who enjoy high-brow caviar and tea. This is a film for ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY, nothing deep. Don't go in expecting to see Citizen Kane 2. There is TONS of crappy acting, but the overall feel and atmosphere of the movie is great, in my opinion. Give Shyamalan your money, because eventually he'll have to put out a good movie, right?

Star Trek: 9/10

Dirty Dancing - 10/10.

Predators: 5/10

I was seriously disappointed with this film. After 20 years (not including AVP) this is all they could come up with? There was no fan-service atall, and few refernces to the earlier films besides stealing alot of the plot elements from the first. The characters were insanely cliché and the acting was average. Even with the impressive effects, there was little atmosphere. And there was a few plot elements just dusted over that could have been well exploited. But it wasn't painful to watch and atleast kept my attention for a while.

Predator 2: 9/10
I don't see why everyone hates this film. Danny Glover is great in the role of a cop thrown into stuff he doesn't understand. The plot isn't the greatest, but the action makes up for it. I haven't seen this film since childhood so it was like watching it anew. There was great atomosphere and tension towards the end. The Alien skull in the trophy cabinet was great fan service and a nice touch.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine. 8/10
I never watched the X-Men cartoons are read the comics so I don't know what they 'ruined' as some fans say. As a fan of the films only, I thought it was on par with the first X-men film. Not too epic yet a nice addition to fill us in on Wolverine's past. Enjoyed it.

12 Angry Men: 10/10

The best film I've watched in a long time. The dialogue and acting are just so well done. Most of the 90 or so minutes are spent in a jury room but I didn't feel bored or tired once. Brilliant film.

I hadn't seen them in a while and since Toy Story 3 is coming out soon, I thought it would be a good time to watch them again.

The first is one of my favourite films of all-time. Absolutely full of charm and gives me that spine tingly feeling at moments. The sequel is still an fantastic film, but there's something about it that didn't feel quite as good.

Dragon Ball live adaptation

Worst. film. Ever.

Alice in Wonderland. 6/10. I thought visually it was amazing and if I had gone and seen it in 3D it would have been better, but since I have a thing about 3D I didn't. The story was a bit of a mix between the first book and then through the looking glass, which made it a little confusing. The acting was great. Seeing Johnny Depp in another outragous role was good, but I thought he was using a lot of the Jack Sparrow Acent.

Avatar: 9/10

I only watched this a few nights ago, it was visually and audibly great and it felt like there was always something going on, and did carry with it a pretty decent epic factor with it. The alien animal species were somewhat limited in their variety or originality but they looked great anyway, and the concept of a planet that is essentially alive itself and the way the creatures interacted with each other I thought was pretty cool. I didn't mind the whole spiritual journey thing and I love seeing robots and expensive equipment being blown up, especially if it's being smashed up by alien dinosaurs.

The see you moments always reminded me of Sauron and Cthulu from WoW for some reason and for an ambitious film where CGI played such a massive role, I can't help but wonder it'll show it's age in the future.. especially those fights involving the evil sarge. He looked like the sarge from Toy Soldiers! Regardless I loved watching it, and was fascinated as much by the animation as I was by the actual film.

Good to hear about Toy Story 3 being good unlike Wayne Rooney's 4th movie. I've been buying up almost all of Pixar's masterpieces on Blu Ray, I'm not biased in my scores they're just that damn good...

Ratatouille 8/10
Feels more like a subsidary of Pixar made this one as the visuals didn't pop as much but the story and themes, 'Anyone can love this film'

Wall-E 9/10
Not much dialogue but still engaging and goes the Space Oddysee route by showing AI thinking they know best. I took from this how two total opposite can still fall in love.

Adventure is out there and so is the film, go buy, rent, torrent and definitely watch.

Monsters Inc 10/10
My favourite, lots of laughs, great characters and a cameo. Boo is the most perfectly realise child in any film. They didn't find a two year put her in front of a script... No they let her run around and they mic'd her and whatever they got... they got.
John Goodman and Billy Crystal are ace too.

I have always thought the first one was better than number 2. The first Toy Story was not all aimed at kids. Take Sid for example, he mutates toys for the love of God and that is meant to be a childrens film. The second one is more aimed for kids, and that is what I didn't like about it, the contrast between the two was very different.

I'm pretty sure Disney know what they're doing when it comes to demographics.

I probably prefer Toy Story 1 for nostalgia's sake, which is weird for me. I'm not sure which film is better, I'd have to watch them both again. Both brilliant though, and I can't flippin' wait for Toy Story 3

For me, Cars and A Bug's Life are Pixars worst films. And even then they're not that bad. People rate Finding Nemo a little to highly as well. I still like it, but compared to Toy Story, Monsters Inc and a couple of others it's not that great

My copy of Ratatouilles broken, so I've never seen it all the way through (and can't return as Zavvi shut down on the High Street not long after I bought it

I prefer Toy Story 1 to 2 (The order would be 1 >3 >2 for me). And the quality of Toy Story 2 and 3 makes me confident Pixar won't screw up Monsters Inc 2. I'm glad Pixar managed to hold on to Toy Story 3. Anyone else trying to make it would have sucked.

I still haven't seen Ratatouille, Cars or Up or even WALL-E. Pretty much any film after The Incredibles, because I thought that was quite weak and I didn't like the look of Cars at all.

Yeah I suck, I haven't seen a new Pixar film since half a decade ago.

Bug's Life and The Incredibles are probably the weakest out of the ones I've seen.

If only DreamWorks could have kept up Shrek's quality like Pixar have kept up Toy Story's :/

I thought the Incredibles was awesome. Samual L Jackson made the film with his qurky humour and the action was good as well. It was no where as good as Ratatouille, but still a good Pixar movie. I really disliked A Bugs Life. There was just nothing going for it and it was not that entertaining.
