Need to see that actually, had part of it spoilt for me though, which sucks :/
Fight Club - 6/10
The first time I\'ve seen this. I hated how it ended but enjoyed it overall. The main plot twist was a little predictable.

Please edit the spoilers like I have for you. This movie is a great one and I would even recommend it to my mum. Therefore you're spoiling it for other people.
Soz Simez. I've fixed it. I've also lowered the score. I was being way too generous.
MOON 9/10
It's a good film. I like how it harkens back to older Sci-fi with it's visuals. I like this kind of Science Fiction anyway (slow thought provoking and not about the special effects), with films like 2001, 2010, Silent Running, Alien, Gattaca and Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978 remake) being among my favourite films.

Cheers mate.
Avatar 3D - 6/10
The movie has fantastic visuals -- but that's really all it has. The villain is stereotypical and one dimensional, and the plot is derivative. I've seen this movie before. Its political overtones are confusing as well. I thought it was meant to apply to treatments of the Native Americans, which made the most sense by far. My older sister even commented that the movie might as well have been a Pocahontas remake. I later read that it's supposedly a critique of the War on Terror, which doesn't make much sense to me. The Iraqi and Afghani people were not perfectly happy like the Navi before intervention. I don't mind when movies put themselves out there to try to make a point -- political correctness irritates me more than bold statements -- but atleast have your allusions make some sense.
Overall I think its strictly an average film that is brought above by dazzling effects. If there were no effects, no one would care about this movie. Its definitely a landmark film for the technical quality (and I'm glad it exists as its release forced hundreds of theatres to make important upgrades), but go in understanding that that's all you're getting.
Yeah, to be honest, Avatar is just an exact copy of the story of FernGully. Exact to the T.
Inglorious Bastards - 8/10
Quittin Tarantino delivers again with another fantastic movie. Although it's not nearly as violent as some of his past excursions, his newest movie delivers a one-two punch that has come to be expected from Tarantino. Although the ending is quite violent and somewhat depressing, overall it's great and well worth a watch.
Metal Gear Solid 4 - 7/10
A brilliant film, with an awesome story line. I had only one problem with it as it lasted way to long, 5 hours to be precise which is a bit extreme for a film

Avatar - 9 or 10/10
I thought it was fantastic. Firstly I was surprised by how well the 3D worked (I\'m totally out of the loop, I went in thinking it would be those horrible blue and red 3D Glasses. )
I\'m seeing the connections to Pochahontas, but really isn\'t it a bit unfair to look at the film as just a slightly unoriginal plot? The thing is, the effects are a large part of the movie. At times they were really quite overwhelming, I can\'t see how this can be ignored just because the plot has some similarities to other movies? Despite these similarities it doesn\'t even make the movie bad, it was still heart warming.
The alien world felt so real and believable, partly due to the effects, and I know it sounds stupid, but it was immersive, really it was. Immersive and breathtaking in a way no grimdark mature FPS game has ever been. I want a dragon thingy...
Also it was long as hell, but it was one of those rare opportunities in which time seemed to pass so quickly and I didn\'t want it to finish. Keep in mind that this hardly ever happens when it comes to me and films.
Overall I loved it and I\'ll probably go see it again soon. I feel that the people who went to see it with their plot critic hats on are probably missing out on something so many people have immensely enjoyed.
PS. I got a headache too. Although I think it\'s because I hadn\'t had any tea today. ^^;
I did feel like my head would explode sometimes though.

Avatar - 10/10
Watched with SL and others and it was epic.
Avatar 3D - 7/10
It was an enjoyable film the start seemed to drag out and at times even felt a bit pretentious. But still, the main bad ass was...bad ass. Much better than most villains these days. And if they ever make a Duke Nukem film, he must play him.
If all I want is awesome graphics I can go outside.
I understand that the visuals are breathtaking, I just hate to see movies loved so strongly just because of them. Great movies are supposed to be so much more. I\'m not going to love something just because it has a convincing world. It must have a good story too. And this one just ripped from those that came before it.
All things considered, Avatar is a great technical showcase, not necessarily a great film.
