Yeah, Code Geass feels like Death Note with mechs. Though it's completely different to Death Note...Death Note is much better imo. Code Geass was still good though.
I spent the last couple of days watching Blood+. Was good.
Are there any other anime's that hit the death note/code geass type of themes. Thinking more than just fighting.

I know i'll sound like an old record but I totally recommend Welcome to the NHK. Such a great series.
Just finished watching it thanks to your raving about it. Was pretty damn good.
How many episodes have you seen?
All of it.
Usagi Yojimbo, Ranma 1/2, Maison Ikkoku.

Oh right nice one. Yeah I love the series. If you want any of the music I have literally every song from the series.
I recently started reading One Piece again.
"its time for the night strike" I forgot how hilarious Luffy is though and how serious he can get. I remeber watching the first episode and craking up when he's running away from the goons on the ship "waaaahahaoahoaohaohoah just kiddin GOMU GOMUNOOOOOO...ROKET..." ^^
XD Yup, Luffy is hilarious. I love how whenever anyone explains something complicated he's like "Ah, I understand. It's a mystery xxx!"
And in the recent Jap anime episodes. "Let's save the takoyaki!!"
Seriously, everybody who hasn't already needs to read/watch One Piece. I'm never gonna stop raving about it. Recently watched my 60th anime series, nothing has beaten One Piece yet.
"luffy you ok"
"yosh! Just gimmie some meat"
Just shows that meat is the best substance in the world!
One Piece crazy only thing put me off was the really really bad english dub really the some of wrost ever
That's 4Kids for you.
I wonder if 4Kids' lack of more of than three voice actors, voice differentiation and emotion is part of what made Sonic X crappier than it should be. It presses buttons in all the right places (except Chris...) but it still manages to be prettycrap.
I only liked Sonic X when it was covering the stories from Adventure 1 and 2. Was cool to see the games played out anime style.
( Edited 12.02.2009 19:44 by wAyNe - sTaRT )It was, but at the same time it was just like fan service and wasn't even told out very well. It was very brief too, I think I may even find it hard to understand if I hadn't played the games, or noticed a difference between those and the rest of the series.
I do think that the episodes after the Adventure 1/2 sagas are pretty good though, even though Emerl is called "ML" (WTF?) and isn't around for long enough.
Saunders I don't think you really need to watch Naruto after episode 130 because they have nothing to do with the stroyline (filler episodes), maybe the last episode of Naruto does but that's it. You might aswell move onto Shippuuden.
Jump everyone knows not to watch Anime dubs.
Also everyone should watch Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal, it's really really good. Plus it's only 4 episodes long so there's no reason not to watch it.
They're also re-airing Dragon Ball Z in Japan with edited scenes and in HD.

I started watching Naruto again a little while ago (well I didn't really stop watching it just slowed down a bit). The problem is literally NOTHING is happening. I'm on episode 177ish and nothings really happened since 130ish. Pretty lame if you ask me.
Thats 3 seasons of fillers move on to shippuden, or start reading the manga, chapter 434 is heating up.

Perhaps I should start watching One Piece?
Yes, definitely. Much much better than Naruto. And watch it subbed. Kaizoku Fansubs are the best for the first 255 eps.

Yeah, that\'s the swamp of filler eps, the Naruto anime\'s biggest curse. One Piece fillers are short, and often pretty good.
Ikana: NHK dub or sub?
Subbed.
I really need to start watching Azumanga Daioh again too thats pretty funny.
Azumanga Diaoh is great. Also School Rumble and Lucky Star are brilliant \'slice of life\' comedies.

Indeed. Though the One Piece FUNimation dub owns the 4Kids one, it\'s still best subbed. Cromartie High School and Cowboy Bebop have amazing dubs, but everything else I\'ve seen is best subbed.

*Adds to \'to watch\' list*
EDIT: Oh, Samurai X is Rurouni Kenshin? Is the main Rurouni Kenshin series good?

Hey, still trying to get out of my depression...
Sooo, to temporarily fill the gap, I decided to pirate the 4 seasons of Yu Yu Hakusho since I remember that I jumped around some of the episodes and also remember that it was decent anime.
My poor beloved One Piece... oh 4Kids, how I hate you... that scene with Mr. 3... just... shocking.
4Kids cut out really important scenes too. Like the Laboon Arc. Cutting out Laboon is REALLY gonna screw with the continuity later on.
( Edited 13.02.2009 01:00 by Ikana )I heard that Funimation is making their own uncut dubs of One Piece, released on DVD! Or is that the same dub?...
I don't know how you watched the 4kids version in the first place. Shit sucks.
I think from any objective standard it still sucks.
I'm personally biased though cause I read da manga first.
*waits for bleach and naruto chapters*
I have a question about Code Geass R2, i've watched all of the Dub episodes (11 in total) of R2, and was wondering if the whole show finishes in this season? If so i might watch the remaining subbed.
