Smashville yes, but the Support Ghosts on Yoshi's Island can randomly save or kill you.

thats true. what about isle delfino? i know the stage changes but there are really no enviromental hazards.

Some sections of the stage have walk out KOs, and they aren't fair because you can camp at the edge of one and throw people out backwards very easily.

just like you can camp out and throw people on stages like Flat Zone, Distant Planet and Mario Circut.

Yep, and all those stages are banned from tournies too.

They really should make a smash bros DS or DSi game... It would sell like hot cakes with mario coins in them

Instead of pitfalls, it is accidentally spelt Pratfalls!

Smash Bros is lacking a conspiracy theory, so here it is, I lay it to you bare.

Have you ever noticed when you seem to trip at the worst time? Or you trip more often if you\'re losing?

The theory is this: Sakurai sits alone all day in a dark room filled with screens. These screens show every single game of Brawl going on at any one time. In front of Sakurai are buttons. Red buttons. As soon as he thinks someone is winning by too far, he presses the \"Trip\" button, sometimes in sequence with the \"Ike Front Smash\" button. You may think you did Ike\'s Front Smash yourself, but not really. How else can you explain your almost automatic use of Front Smashes when people trip?

The last one is a serious problem though. Since Classic matches sometimes last too quickly, sometimes Sakurai has no choice but to press the \"Giant MetaKnight\" button. He is five times as likely to push this, the biggest red button in the world, if you are on Intense mode.

Think you\'re doing well? Still got 5 stocks? You thought wrong.

So who else has suspected a Smash Bros conspiracy? >=[

Nintendo just forced one of the best community fan projects of all time to be shut down.

I\'m not sure if many people here know about ]Syntax Error[, but they made tons of incredible texture hacks for Brawl and planned to release them yesterday, however at the last minute, it seems Nintendo issued a cease and desist, and now hundreds of fans are very very angry. ]EE[ had to close all their websites and swear not to leak the patch onto the internet. Stack Smash (rival team of ]EE[) are now gonna take precautions so this doesn\'t happen to them either.

But damn am I pissed off. Here\'s an image of nearly all the textures ]EE[ planned to release with their patch, including Ridley, Rosalina, Midna, Cloud, Metal Sonic, Shadow, MegaMan, Fierce Deity, Mr L, Old Snake and much more.

I think a lot of fans will try to find a way to get back at Nintendo for this, even if it\'s not possible.

I was gonna submit this as a C3 news report, but I\'m not sure if C3 would cover something like this. I do think it needs media attention for Nintendo to see how angry the fans are though.

Nooooooo! I can't believe Nintendo waited right to the last second to stop this. It's like they gave a big middle finger to all the Braawl fans. I feel sorry for the guys who made texture hacks.

The SmashWorldForums Back Room have just released their second tier list. Basically they\'ve updated the first tier list to account for new findings in technique etc that were discovered for characters since last time. Some may be disappointed, some may be happy.

Well Ecks will be happy to know that Link is now the 4th worst in the game rather than the 2nd worst And I\'m happy to know that Sonic is no longer the 5th worst but is now the 7th worst .

BTW, the numbers aren\'t exactly how powerful they are in comparison with each other, it\'s their average ranking from all the SBRoomers votes.

just like you cant camp on the edges of finail dest, sorry but i was reading through and saw the whole camping in tournies thing XD, you can easily steal teh edges on finail dest or camp out there using certain chars making you have controll of the field any stage can be used in a profoundly stupid way so i dont see any reason to ban some of the ones that are in tournies. why not ban bowser or ganondorf in tournies for being over powered as well?

Yeah meta knight is by far the most effective character. But I thought Zelda would've scored higher, she is so much better in Brawl than melee.

I am back! Yesterday i participated in the April 25th (yesterday) London Melee and Brawl ranbats.

Well everyone at C3, i did what i set out to do yesterday, i ranked up Bowser's name for Brawl. Here's the link to the information on the ranbats...

Honestly, the day was great, so many great smashers showed up. Any UK smasher's around should NOT have missed this. It was not easy, but i did what i could. Another ranbat should be held sometime early summer, and possibly once a month, so if you live in the UK and are confident about your smashing abilities (at either Melee or Brawl), i urge you to try and make it. I'm sorry i lost everyone, but don't worry, i have not lost faith in Bowser, and we shall both continue to strive for that top spot. Bowser for life

Personally; screw it. I give up on competetive Smash Bros. Living in the middle of nowhere I\'m in no good place to get to all the necessary tournaments, nor do I have the time. Also, I think I suck at Smash Bros. Playing it so much makes me bored of it, which makes me lose all motivation to improve at it, or \"train\". Maybe I could have gotten through a round or too, but I\'d probably just end up \"embarrassing\" myself.

Congrats on doing well and having a good time though

Also I thought this would be a good time to point out that Syntax Error\'s half finished texture hack patch has finally been released by Stack Smash. Unfortunately my Wii is fully up to date now so I doubt I can use it any more anyway.

OK I see the picture of the characters, do these texture hacks mean that instead of playing as, say, Sonic, if you selected him, you'd play as Metal Sonic etc?

Nope, they're alternate colours. Although it does mean replacing existing alt. colours rather than adding on top of the in-game ones.
