Sonic Generations: Officially Announced

Just played the PS3 demo, loved it. My only complaint is regarding Classic; it feels too zoomed in at times and I don't like the 'instant spin-dash move', so won't be using that. I really enjoyed the modern level most so am looking forward to the game mostly for them.

I actually liked it when it was zoomed in. It was the only time I could keep track of Sonic properly. Other times I kept losing sight of him amongst the background.

Sonic 1 is unlockable in the console versions.

- two SpotPass activities: exchanging profile cards and exchanging missions
- record details about how long you've been playing the Sonic series, list your favorite amongst Sonic's friends on your profile card
- card also includes your play record for the 3DS title
- exchanging the profile cards will update your game in numerous ways
- game includes 100 missions which are unlocked through SpotPass
- exchange missions to have another player appears in your SpotPass log
- select their name to receive a mission
- mission examples include Revenge, where you must defeat as a certain number of enemies as possible
- also Special Trial, where gopher-like enemies appear in Act 1 of Mushroom Hill Zone
- also unlock missions with Game Coins

The soundtrack's been leaking all day. Some weak remixes but overall the soundtrack is SONIC FAN HEAVEN, there are many alt. tracks for stages and even obscure stuff.

I love the "White World" remixes the most.

Oh, and this is still one of the best pieces of music from any Sonic ever (though I think it's slightly remixed here). It instantly makes me want to play Unleashed again.

GameTrailers gave it 8.1 and said it was the best Sonic game for decades.

Gaaaah ! What have they done to the City Escape theme ? It sounds so bad now !

Tails is now playable in Sonic CD.
