Try buying it theres an option to only add the amount needed. Well there is on the European VC.

Our member of the week

Aaaaah so that's not directly on the add funds screen... that's when you try to buy something and you don't have enough funds??? Smilie

And to think that I never noticed this. Thanks!

Yeah I usually just go to buy something and then it says "you don't have enough" or something and asks if I want to top up my account or add the required amount only, and I almost always only add the required amount!

Also, not sure why people are freakin' out about F-Zero not being up yet, it goes up tomorrow.
I showed my thanks in MiiVerse Smilie Good to see lots of people doing the same.

EDIT: Also there's an amazing offer on Mighty Switch Force Hyper Drive Edition going up tomorrow too, 50% off, meaning the game is only £5. I really enjoyed the game (and its music) and I bought it full price at £10, would seriously recommend it to anyone looking for stuff to do on their WiiU.

Saw that news earlier. It's not like I lack stuff to do on Wii U, I'm actually overwhelmed with games to play on this XD... But I shall certainly pick it up while it's on the cheap, even if it's months before I finally start playing it.

Nintendo will be at Gamescom this year.

Kolgar on NeoGaf;

"To my relief, the ZombiU consoles come with up-to-date system software-no need to endure a long update. Good thing, too because one you turn this machine on and that relaxing, melodic mix of music teases you from both television and Gamepad, all you want to do is dive in."

That's nice to hear. Smilie Now when's the system update coming? It still takes 8 seconds or so to watch the friends list.

Watch Dogs Wii U confirmed!

http://m.ign.com/articles/2013/02/21/watchdogs-confirmed-for-wii-u

What do you guys think of the MH3U demo?

I'm loving it!! It took me 2 tries to kill the first monster. The second one is also fun. I think I was halfway to killing it, but I was tersting another weapon and that didn't go so well.

I didn't want this game because I almost completed MH3 for Wii... but this is looking better than expected. Who knows, I might pick it up for a lower price one day.

Don't think I'll purchase it personally... I'm just not good at this game.

The Wii U version would be the way to go for me, as I found it to be the most comfortable to play... but if I can't even beat the simplest of both creatures, I don't see myself getting any enjoyment from the full game...

Yeah same, its just not my thing, it feels like a grind. Much prefer Demon's Souls or sin and punishment when it comes to difficult games. They're fun to play and challenging. Monster Hunter feels like you're fighting the controls more than the monster.

Our member of the week

Well I truly enjoyed the Wii one... I liked building a stronger equipment for my character... But here perhaps my dislike for it comes down to the fact that the demo doesn't let you do any customization, but rather pits you against the bigger foes right away with only some set characters to choose from.

I wonder if it'll have audio chat... Can't remember if I asked about it already, or if it was confirmed or infirmed already.

I think Monster Hunter demos are always bad, my brother and I played a demo of the PSP Monster Hunter 2 a while back and weren't impressed at all, that was before he bought the game due to his friend wanting him to and playing it to find that he loved it. I think if you like MH, you'll like the WiiU and 3DS ones. However.. I also can't really see the demo selling the game to too many people, unfortunately.

We have an official Monster Hunter topic for any discussions about it too, just saying. Smilie

@Rudy: It's already been confirmed that MH3U will have voice chat and you can use the GamePad microphone, headsets or headphones with microphones. Smilie USB keyboard support got added as well. If you enjoyed Tri, it's a pretty safe bet that you'll enjoy this one a lot too and all the additions it offers to players who only played Tri. I could always help you out online if you're struggling, pretty sure Mush would too. You should be okay if you managed to finish the offline mode in Tri, though. There's always a learning curve for new monsters until you know their patterns and the demo just throws you into those battles.

@SuperLink: That's just how the game is, unfortunately. Unless a demo consists of the first 10 hours of the game, it'll be pretty much impossible to convey the appeal of the series in a demo. Having online play in the demo might help slightly but that doesn't change the fact that new players are thrown right into big battles without any prior knowledge that you slowly accumulate as you start playing the game. People using the big and badass weapon types right away, despite them being tougher to learn isn't helping either.

Yeah the demo isn't a good example of the learning curve. The real game has you start out with a sword and shield: the fastest weapons in the game. You slowly get access to bigger and stronger weapons. But the bigger they are, the slower. So you have to get used to that.
Which you can't in a demo. Smilie

Seriously, MH3 on Wii was a great game and it looks like MH3U is only better.

Nintendo is bringing it's big guns to the UK party. Wii Mini

The Amazing Spiderman U Edition.....

I thought the MH3 demo was pretty enjoyable, but my goodness was it hard on the eyes! The textures were extremely ugly. Apart from the look, I am fairly interested in trying it out in WiiU, as I didn't try it out on Wii.

Working like a fiend isn't very fun... and surprisingly isn't very fiendish either.

Kid Icarus Wii U reeks of desperation if true....

Agreed, but would be a great way to get more people to try an awesome title.

Because damn it was a great game (I know you disagree) and I'd really like if more people tried it and supported it as a series. (since I'd like a sequel!)

Would be a shame for the 3DS to lose another exclusive, but 3DS is now performing so well that it doesn't need them as badly as it did.

Is Miiverse sometimes very slow for anyone else? If I go to the F-Zero community and click on a post, it takes up to 30 second to load it. And it didn't even have a screenshot attached.

Yesterday I had some serious streaming problems again. It couldn't handle a simple 480p stream, grmbl!!! Even the videos that Nintendo offers on the eShop have pause all the time. Is that a problem of the Wii U or of its internet connection? I get 4MB/s speeds on my PC which is on the same router (and of course I don't let them run at the same time).
I use a USB LAN adapter (3rd party).

Edit: My U just crashed when I tried to enter the settings menu. I want to get rid of some demos (The Cave), I guess that's the menu to do it in? Anyway, after 2 minutes I decided to turn off the U.
I hope that OS update is coming soon!

If it brings dual stick controls for the on-foot sections, I might actually make peace with that game Smilie, and would definitely buy it. because I don't want to ever touch the 3DS version again.

Kid Icarus would definitely play better on Wii U. I think they should do it as an e-shop game though. It would require significant retooling for retail.

"This business has not been in a state of transition like it is right now since the video game crash of the '80s. I really think we're in a massive state of turmoil. I think Nintendo could possibly be faced with the situation of becoming a company that only makes software moving forward. I think Sony and Microsoft are about to come to major blows. But at the same time, people love playing games on their iPad. The PC is going through a wonderful renaissance right now. I think we're ready to do digital download games all the time…I just want to see what happens. In regards to the industry, it's like the Super Smash Bros. of business right now, and I want to see if Peach or Mario wins."
