Bayonetta 2 News Coming Next Week
I thought Kamiya is known for this joke he regularly makes on Twitter, when someone asks him when we can expect news regarding a new game and he just says either this or next week in game magazines. I'm pretty sure this isn't the first time he used this one on Bayonetta 2 either..
So I finally got my hands on the Wii U today. All I can really do is reiterate what has already been said.
1. The controller is extremely comfortable, which is something I had been skeptical about for quite awhile. Also, the touch screen was more responsive than expected.
2. The controller is very light. While the controller is not near as big in person, I almost felt that it was too light for it's size.
3. The console is about the size of 2 Wii's.
4. I only got to play Rayman: Legends for about 20 minutes, but it was very fun and played extremely smooth.
Overall, I was very impressed with the system and controller. The analog sticks at the top of the controller posed no threat to playability, and may have even smoothed out the traditional interface.
Hopefully, these pictures will show up through the links, as they were too large to post right out.

Compilation of all current UK WiiU commercials. Games reel at the end is pretty good too.

Wii U's HTML5 support is better than IE 10.
Wii U browser's HTML5 is just a bit worse than the latest version of Firefox, which is pretty damn good for a console browser. Don't forget though, the browser is listed as beta/in development. It could get better, though even if it doesn't, it's still a great score.
So did you hear? Microsoft has patented the 'Xbox Surface', a tablet to be used with the next Xbox console.
I'm not worried though, because I know Microsoft will never find a good quality/price balance. They probably won't pack in the tablet with the new system, so developers won't build their games around the tablet. So not many people will buy it. At best, it will get support from some ported Wii U games.
And finally a tablet has no physical buttons.
Looks like the US review sites are getting theirs in now. User interface is still embargoed so expect that Nintendo Direct very very soon.
Be sure to let us all know when you get yours Jorge so we can all be jealous.

I was under the impression that this was not for the Nextbox. From the articles I read on it, it sounds more like a tablet made specifically for gaming on that specific tablet, but with the Xbox brand. It sounds like it is meant to be a Microsoft handheld of sorts, which is why they put the Xbox name on it to differentiate from other tablets. I could have read in to it wrong, but that was my impression.

Lol, I will, though UK supply is quite limited so we're not 100% sure yet tbh.
Hawk said:Ah, that's also possible. When I read it I thought it was supposed to work together with the Nextbox. It sounded like a cheap Wii U ripoff.

Best Wii U unboxing by far:
Saw this last night. Was hilarious for sure XD.
I just have to share this survey about the Wii U from IGN. The final question is the most terrible one I've ever seen. They really need to work on their skills when it comes to surveys.

I did that survey yesterday and thought the exact same thing! Either you only play mature games, or you've never heard of them apparently.
Today I finally made a reservation for a Wii U! The store is getting 500 units and I'm the first to make a reservation.
A month ago or so I already made reservation at Bartsmit.com, but it was more of a "we'll notify you when we get them" thing. Also the price on that site wasn't too good.
For weeks I kept walking into the BCC to ask if they were going to sell Wii U... Now this morning they finally had confirmation. They're getting 500 units and I am the first with a reservation.
The nice thing about this store is that they have a lowest price guarantee and that the store is pretty close to my home.

More interesting stuff about the browser:
http://iwataasks.nintendo.com/interviews/#/wiiu/internet-browser/0/0
There's also a sweet video here: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wiiu/movie/index.html#internetbrowser
It demonstrates the features of the browser, also something that looks like YouTube near the end of the video is included.
The first image for the eShop was also released earlier today on the Japanese Nintendo website, check it out.
There's also new screenshots of Miiverse, Wii U Chat, Mii Studio and Joysound. A karaoke app which appears to be exclusive to the Japanese Wii Us. Check all of this stuff out here: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wiiu/hardware/features/index.html
There's also a screenshot for the Activity Log, User Select and what appears to be some kind of messaging system between friends, these are located right at the bottom of that page.

Yeah I saw those browser and Miiverse movies. Looks good! And it taught me it's cool to let your diner get cold while you keep browsing on the U.
I'm glad the Youtube functionality seems in place. Here's hoping it will support Blip.tv etc.

Some more good news. It was announced in the Iwata Asks that the browser will include tabbed browsing and when developing the browser, it was built with streaming videos in mind. This means that, not only can you use tabbed browsing whilst a game is suspended, you can also watch a video online while your game sits there in an idle state, ready for when you want to get back to it. Great stuff!
