Has this been officially confirmed? Sounds very interesting indeed.
Linkyshinks said: No, nothing will until e3, but it does seem credible. I don't think the card itself will have a screen, but I can see a housing/holder having one.
It does seem very credible, it'll be pretty good to be able to StreetPass with other 3DS/Wii U owners and join their games or something. (Like in Mario Kart 7)
that looks like the pedometer in pokemon heartgold and soulsilver. That will be cool, but it looks too fake. possible, as well maybe in a more "card" appearence, like an ID for the Wii u. (To compliment the NFC) and be able to have a microchip in it, to communicate with a 3DS too.
Yea, it will have other platform users slightly jealous if it does some of the things that have been rumoured thus far, but, it needs to be a full on card that you can put in your wallet, otherwise most gamers will be put off.

Nope it's wolvesgod, lost my pw and the email address I used with it, was deleted.
And that's exactly what I meant, a Nintendo Card. imagine this:
Buying games (onto the card) digitally, from retailers with it being downloaded on the card.
Yeah, imagine the water effects and physics Nintendo could do with the Wii U. It would be pretty good, although I doubt many will buy it.
I'll buy it if they bundle it with a new 1080 game.
Hm, I'd probably buy 1080 if it was a standalone game, so that doesn't say much...
I only played WR Blue Storm, I loved it. But I got it for €10 or so.
Yeah, that's what I mean, I think a lot of people would want "More Value" out of their games these days, and most wont see much value in a jet ski racing game, even with online modes.
Yeah, I just think value is relative, people like things more than others, so they enjoy it more and get more out of it. But yeah, they'd probably do better selling cheap online.
“If I didn’t have a strict gag order on me, I’d love to talk about all the great features that we have, but what I can tell you is that it’s a next generation platform, and you should keep your eyes open. We’ll obviously be using the unique controller that it has to its utmost potential, but speaking to specific features or tech effects… well, that’s in Nintendo’s playground right now. And I know that they have plans for E3.” - Jeremy Greiner, Creative Manager at Vigil Games
The following comments come from Gearbox senior producer Brian Burleson...
"[Creating the Wii U version] has been pretty easy. The Wii U is a powerful, powerful machine and it can do a lot of cool new things. And so the game itself, moving it over to work on the Wii U was not much of a chore.
Now the interesting thing is finding out all the cool ways you can use the controller to do new stuff with it. You can imagine all the cool things we can do, with this franchise and having a thing with you, right? You can imagine some cool features, for sure. It's not hard to imagine some cool features."
When it came to discussing the raw power of the Wii U, Burleson had to clam up a bit...
"(That's) one thing I can't talk about. Actually nailing the specs, they haven't come out with them yet. (The Wii U version of Aliens will) "be better" (than the PS3 and Xbox 360 version in terms of visuals because of) "more modern tech."
When asked just how the Wii U version will be better, Burleson said the following.
"You'll have to wait and see. Just trust me on that one."
One of the devs on Cloudberry Kingdom has discussed what special features could be added to the Wii U version.
"We're playing with some different ideas. We're definitely planning on doing all the menus on the slider screen. We really like the draw-your-own-hero idea, or maybe draw-your-own-hat idea. We're also considering a draw-your-own-flag idea for a tentative competitive campaign mode, where your flag will fly above castles that you own. We're open to ideas though!"
Hmm, I've been wondering if frontier has any plans for a new lost winds sequel on WiiU. Been waiting to see what else they can do with that story line since Winter of the Melodias and that was back in 09

Yea, I do think they will have some ready, LW2 came out a while ago now. It would be nice to see them take advantage of all that WiiU can offer.
This video may be taken down. Metro Last Night, possibly on WiiU. The textures look amazing.
Would love it to b true. Would mean the wii u would b a multi tasking beast and would more than likely support more than 1 upad. It could also mean wiiu has a decent amount of ram with more of the ram being accessible

That will be awesome. Especially if they plan to use the same system as the 3DS.
and an idea for your pic is having the Wii U controller behind the cross wii-motes, like a shield and sword cross.
