Final Fantasy VII and Dragon Quest VII heading to Nintendo 3DS next year?
More likely DQ7 but would love to be proven wrong. Would be a massive scoop for Nintendo if they got FF7.
Yeah, I'd expect more FF5 and 6 to be remade for 3DS first before we get 7, since the original DS only got 3 and 4. But I'd also love to be proven wrong there as well .
Dragon Quest 7 would make sense though, since 4, 5 and 6 were remade fairly recently.
It seems the firmware update will be hitting Nov. 30th, as an UK commercial mentions that 3D video recording is available on that date.
Next Wednesday
3DS Ambassadors will be notified about the GBA selection via SpotPass.

New Tintin 3DS Trailer. Captain Haddock with a rifle and bottles of Rum, looks fun..
Soon you can record up to 10 minutes of glasses-free 3D video using the Nintendo 3DS cameras on your Nintendo 3DS system. Record continuous motion, or in stop motion style " then save it to your SD Card. Capture your favorite family moments, silly pet tricks, and more in a whole new way.
See what you can do with this new feature by checking out our Upcoming Features video available in the Nintendo eShop. The 3D video recording feature will be available with the next Nintendo 3DS sytem update by December 8th instead of November as originally planned.
Nintendo
- demo hitting the eShop
- no release date for demo
- 30 play limitation
- 169 megabytes of free space on your SD card needed
- demo available at retailers tomorrow
- demo will include two quests
- one quest is in an icy field and one in a water environment
- select from twelve weapons and will have companions Cha Cha and Kayanb
- quests will last 15 minutes at retail
- quests will last 20 minutes on 3DS
Ah, demos at long last! Wonder which we'll get over here (if any :/).

Dear customer,On account of the upcoming system update, which will be available by 8 December, Nintendo eShop will be unavailable for a limited period while the main server undergoes essential maintenance.
Once work on the server has been completed and you have performed the update on your Nintendo 3DS system, you will be able to visit Nintendo eShop as usual and take advantage of the new features. A SpotPass notification summarising all the improvements to Nintendo eShop will be sent out soon.
Nintendo eShop team
I commend you for this amazing post!

If you have a kid who’s too young for a smartphone, there’s nothing wrong with getting a Nintendo DS (starting at $100) or DS3 (the 3D model, $170).- Fox News
Damn, they are totally right. $70 more for the DS3, which is just a 3D model of the DS? What a ripoff.
you can now update your 3ds. goin to eshop
No ambassador games - shit/
We should get them, along with demo's when the eShop opens.

If you've got no one to StreetPass with the update is pretty lacklustre. I've been waiting months and this is all we get?
I was hoping my GBA games and the messaging application would be available, at least.

The Spotpass feature added to the Streetpass Mii Plaza is supposed to let you gather Miis via Spotpass from what I understand. Those you met in Mario Kart 7 maybe ? (and other online games in the future ?)
Or maybe some special Miis will be sent on special occasions (Santa Claus Mii on Christmas, attacking with reindeers ? ... ... probably not XD)
It does, but they're useless. I can't use them in battle or to get puzzles pieces. Well, not that I know of so far, since I just tried.
I don't know how that works either and can't verify with MK7 since I don't have the game yet.
You gather Mii's through Mario Kart 7, but at the moment I can't find any use for them.
