Poison needs a massive boost, too. It's only supereffective against one other type, Grass.

Well yeah, I suppose so. I would think it should do more to types like Normal or Fighting, though, myself; Normal because they wouldn't have a 'special resistance' to it as other elemental types might, or Fighting because they would traditionally rely on moving about more due to their physical nature, and being poisoned would slow them down. Fighting might need 'calming down' a bit anyhow, since they're supereffective against five types and only weak to two.

Normal might need something to be supereffective to, actually. It sortof rocks the boat that they're supposed to be this neutral type, not particularly good or bad against anything, yet are anchored with a weakness against Fighting, can do little damage to two types, and have nothing to be strong against.

Anyway, I've just been looking around the internet, and lo' and behold! There's already tons of fanart for the new protagonists (named Black & White by the fans of course). Of course these are just fan impressions since all they have as reference are low quality scans of sprites xD but very impressive nonetheless.

And normal types rule! - Porygon-z was my best pokemon by a country mile in Pearl.

Looks way better than Lucas already imo. Looks closer to Red and Gold/Ethan than recent protags.

I hope they don't rip off Digimon and make some sort of Farm with training devices and food and stuff. Of course, I know this would never work anyways for them, so I'm not really concerned. I just thought it would be ironic.

Last gen had like 14 legendaries, they got a little carried away. This Gen should only have two, no need for a legendary threesome in this game.

I'm not a fan of the trios...the birds and dogs were good, the regis and the mew-things?....eww...but I guess there will still be a trio cuz Gamefreak won't break their formula will they? D;

And what can Nintendo call the 3rd iteration of this generation that's sure to come out....inbetween black and white? Mixed race edition?

Screw legendaries. We only need one new one, if any. There are far too many. Legendaries are supposed to be few and far between. When you've got to the point where you need more than one PC box to contain the legendaries, there's a problem IMO.

I love Pokemon and I'm so excited about the new games!!

I'm actually looking forward to seeing the new monster designs. I was trading my pokémon from colloseum to gold and realised how good RSE original monsters were, Absol, Metagross, Swampert, Plusul and Minum, Hariyama to name but a few, and that was after they already created 250+ for the previous games.

@ Mason: I just don't see them creating a gen without a trio of legendaries. We can only hope they'll look better than the kindalame Lake Trio.

Also, just note that it's pretty much Thursday in Japan now, meaning we'll get the full scoop from CoroCoro and the official announcement sometime later! *cannot contain excitement*.

EDIT: CoroCoro didn't reveal anything new, only that next month (May 15th) there will be new info and how to catch Zoroark (whatever that means)
So I guess we just gotta hope the official site reveals something cool.

Right.... so the official site was updated, but there's nothing new (what a bummer...) just slightly better quality versions of the screenshots we've already seen. Posting them here anyway.

Completely unrelated, but some fan from YouTube has composed his own battle music. Now this isn't the same guy (he only used the music) but he posted something very interesting about the female protag, so I'mma post this version here.

The music's quite good. Some of it sounds a bit awkward though. I can't imagine listening to it as the regular trainer music.

But, oh my god. Gen V. This is insane. 151 was heaps, 251 was a mad sequel, but everything after that fucked up so badly.. Like, seriously...

And that 'Zorua' Pokemon - what is that? The dark, evil version of a Shinx? Or the offspring of a Sneasal and a mutated dog the artist had in his childhood? My gawd. (Though, the hair does look cool)

I guess I wouldn't have much of a problem with this IF the head artist/drawing techniques wern't so crazy - like, you can see the difference between Gen 1 and 2 and 3, 4 and now 5. It's just shamefull.

Plus, I've heard these new pokemon will sky rocket the overall total of pokemon to just over 600. CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT?! CATCHING OVER 600 MO FO'S JUST TO BEAT THE GAME. As if 151 wasn't hard enough - the furthest I ever got was 149!!! (Stupid bloody Omanite and Omastar in Red version when I was 7 years old! *shakes fist* Yes, I know I'm sad.. Moving on! )

And oh yeh. On a final note, here's a picture of some crappy grass pokemon for Gen V.

If catching every single one is a problem then why not start by filling the always-reasonable Regional Dex? They hardly ever go above 200 nowadays.

And you like the new Pokemon? Eh, fair enough I guess. I looove Zangoose from Gen 3, (out of many) and I only have a few faves from Gen 4. One being Luxray. The other being.. Um.. I think it was Gliscor and Porygon-Z, haha.

That leevoat fanart still looks better than the grass starter in diamond and pearl...I didn't really like any of the Pearl starters, except the penguin, but that got ugly when it evolved D;

And yes porygon-z does rule!

New Pokemon unveiled in honer of shigsy

Starts off in his baby form in top right, then evolves into normal Shigsy to the top left, then he can evolve into White or Black Shigsy depending on how you play.
