Uncurling from springs and what not.
Uncurling is gone, buut..
The rolling is probably the biggest physics issue the game still has.
- If you roll down a steep hill, you WILL pick up speed, a very decent amount, even if you let go of the directional buttons.
- If you roll down a slight gradient you will slow down unfortunately
- When you charge up a spin dash, each charge will take you the same distance/speed unless you hold a directional button, either way you'll go a decent way/you won't stop instantly
- When running you won't stop instantly after letting go of directional buttons, it's not as pinbally as the originals but if you go down a wall or steep slope without holding a button you will run automatically on the momentum alone for a short while, you can run backwards like this too etc
- ..it still wants you to run more often than you spin, but spinning is generally better done than in Ep1.
This ia a beta so it MIGHT improve before the final release, but in the Beta I did some pretty extensive physics trials because it also pissed me off a lot in Ep1.
MUCH better than Ep1
Still not MegaDrive level
I think you'll probably be a bit disappointed in spin attacking like I am.
Hopefully they'll release a demo so you can try the physics for yourself.
However I've reached a point where I barely like Episode 1 anymore and find it almost embarrassing to play, and.. I found myself being pleasantly surprised with this so far, even if it's not what it should be it's still pretty good.
If that makes sense.
