Marvel Vs Capcom 3 Rumour

I'm actually really happy with the line up. Like I've wanted Dante in a fighting game since playing DMC. Although I'm a bit disappointed that they left Gambit out, but Deadpool should fit his role well enough.

Does anyone find it a bit odd that they included so many Clover characters? Like there's even a Gene from Godhand costume for Dante.

Plus it's clear that games like VJ and Okami have really dedicated fans.

Yeah, I'm happy about it too, particularly with Amaterasu (and some other of the dogs due to the alternate costumes). However, it does seem like an odd choice, like clover's games may have a dedicated following but it's still pretty small. I thought they'd have put more Street Fighter characters in instead.

Who's producing the game? I haven't been interested in a Capcom game in a long time, but this will be interesting.

The intro was pretty sick, expect the end where Ryu and Wolverine have that gay moment.

Capcom most likely held back with Megaman, claiming they couldn't put him in because of a lack of moves or something and are gonna whack him in as dlc because they know people will buy him.

Actually I'm generally pretty impressed at the low amount of SF characters, despite being disappointed at the lack of MegaMan, Frank or Phoenix (unlikely as it was)

I got a free comic book with my game, which is pretty cool but it's mostly filled with art.

I would have preferred to get that book instead of the T-shirt that I'm getting with mine which I'm never going to wear. >_<
I'll order the next big game from Shopto, I've only heard praise about that site.

Just got home with a copy! I can't wait to give it a try.

What's the control system like?

I found it hard to play Tatsunoko vs Capcom and I wasn't so keen on the control scheme. I much prefer something more simpler, like Street Fighter II's.

It's very similar to TvC indeed though.

For whoever does have the game now, how are you enjoying it? To me it's a pretty solid game, it just doesen't have enough modes. Also for those who are interested here's some Jill Valentine gameplay

So she's got a completely new move set. I liked her moves in MVC2 though.
MVC3 overall though is a good game, not too bothered about the lack of modes because the only modes I play in fighting games are versus mode and online.
Also there's a poll on Capcom Unity for which characters should be dlc. Venom and Gambit are winning from the Marvel side, not sure about the Capcom side. I hope X is somewhere at top. I might need to replace Chris on my team. He's too slow.

Since the poll has closed now I'm pretty sure X has won on the Capcom side. So many posts had him in xD
Chris may be slow but his projectiles are pretty lethal. I have X-23 as my 3rd main now because Wesker seems to awkward to use imo and I got bored of Ryu xD
My Main team is now Zero for rushdown, Chris for projectiles and X-23 for speed rushdown. Works pretty well

Nah nothing like mega crash from TvC which is a shame. You just gotta hope they bugger up the combo on you or you can predict which direction they do the aerial switch out.
