Xbox Live Official Topic

April 29th I believe.

Yeah, April 29th (a week tomorrow). It's be a particularly fantastic Wednesday, since not only are we getting the super-rare and rather amazing Banjo-Tooie (replete with polished HD visuals, and reinstated Stop N' Swap!), but also the rather excellent Virtual On: Ontario Tangram!

I hate how the Xbox website says "Banjo Tooie hits Xbox Live Arcade!". Then the article says you have to wait another week...

Yeah it's a bit of a cunt. The place-holder for Banjo-Tooie has been up since last Sunday. So from last Sunday through to Tuesday last week I was constantly checking 'Tooie to see if they'd actually put the game up, yet.

Someone on Sonic Stadium said they got a virus over XBOX Live that blocks them entirely from using Hotmail, Live, or MSN. So just to be sure, anyone who gets a mysterious message saying something like "I got 1600ms points" or something like that, DON'T follow any links or anything in it. Better yet, don't do anything with it at all. The guy who got the virus sent an email to MS asking for help, so there may be a solution in the next few days.

Just thought you should all get the heads up.

This weekend is the 'upgrade to XBL Gold' Xtivial-thing right?
Will be hopping online in a mo, any Soul Calibur 4 players be sure to give Phoenixtus a holler.

I'm actually a little creeped out now.

Yeah you get free Gold from May 1st - 4th. Been helping my brothers get Halo online achievements, gutted I missed the Fifa 09 tournament. May delete Spursboy, he seems like a bit of a twerp tbh.

I keep getting those \'900\' messages from people in my friend\'s list. Some people believe that if they send it to enough people, they will get 900 MS points...

It\'s about as bad as those \'Make Xbox Live free\' messages.

Xbox Live should be free, I think. I've noticed a decrease in speed since the original Xbox days, and therefore don't think the online play is worth the price. Besides, they must make so much from the Marketplace now on XBL that the fee for online play is kind of redundant, in my opinion.

I think having to pay for anything that should be a standard is kinda pathetic. At least it\'s not as expensive as playing MMOs online.

More expensive than XBOX Live, and for ONE game! How can you go wrong right?

Untill other services match Live and start taking consumers away from Microsoft we probably won't see it being free.

And no PSN is not as good as live, having to wait 15-20 minutes for a game to update is what free gets you unfortunatly.

Holy craps you guys, as if \'Splosion Man wasn\'t enough, Shadow Complex is already out for 1200 MS Points!

For those who can\'t remember, Shadow Complex is the awesome looking Castlevania/2D Metroid looking game that Epic revealed at E3. I\'m gonna download the demo a bit later since I spent all my MS Points on \'Splosion Man xP

The demo of Shadow Complex was pretty good. I can't buy things at the mo, though, so maybe I'll pick it up in a few weeks.
