You can only use the avatars availiable through market place and what MS give you.

Only way you could get custom avatars is probably through the live vision camera.

Ah, you need an Xbox Live vision camera to do so.

I think I avoided posting in here when I first got my Box because I didn't have a Gold account at the time.

I still don't, but I'm sure I will at some point, so here you go!

I will compete with scores on things like Geometry Wars 2, though, and will probably want to Castle Crash...

How old is it? Talk to Joe. You might be able to just exchange it at the store if you still have your receipt.
