The French site which posted Sony's NGP specifications correctly well before an official announcement from them, and who also very recently claimed Nintendo next console is known internally as "Project Cafe" (as well as giving a brief run down of specifications in line with information from other, unconnected sources), is it at again. 01.net is now reporting that GTA5 will be one of the launch titles on Nintendo's next console, lol.

http://www.01net.com/editorial/531787/lediteur-de-gta-iv-travaille-sur-la-prochaine-console-de-nintendo/

Regardless of whether this is true or not, having such a title as a launch title would certainly destroy both stigmas attached to Nintendo's current console - lowly powered and a distinct lack of mature software. I think it would be hilarious if Nintendo next console had a technically superior version...

Your thoughts?

TONS more rumours incoming:

Source:
Gameolosophy

One thing I noticed is that the reporters of all those rumours are all starting to sound extremely confident that a lot of their stuff, if not all, is true with statements like "My sources have never let me down. *insert various examples here*" Smilie

I admit though, some of the stuff sounds really damn awesome but they're still all rumours so I still assume that almost all of them are going to turn out to be false.

I would love that to turn out to be true, and it would probably make-up for a hell of a lot of Nintendo's downfalls of recent years. But I'm really not convinced that it's genuine. (edit: GTA rumor)

It would be an excellent step-towards recapturing the hardcore market and mature gamers - but... this is Nintendo. It would be one of the biggest u-turns I've ever seen if they started flaunting GTA as one of their big assets. (And in that sense I mean they get a version at all - and its the best version)

It would be excellent if they could though. If I knew there was a console out there that could give me all the Zeldas, Marios, Metroids and what not, as well as the big-hitters of Sony/Microsoft's field (GTA, and then hopefully that'd attract others) - I'd make my decision to buy one of the three next generation systems right now.

Those things are all possible, but they're all fairly easy guesses, really...

If Square Enix made FF:XV for the N6 it would be quite awesome, or maybe a KH game. But all these rumours are really as Mike said, easy guesses. I remember sometime about a year ago that someone from Ubisoft said they were working on the Wii 2.

(I've updated the first post).

Apparently a potential leak of the controller...Smilie Does look pretty good but I surely wouldn't want to buy a second one of these.Smilie

There is no way that's a real leak. Nintendo would never create promotional material for something they were keeping a lid on.

Yeah, not buying that so easily.

IGN compared the controller to an iPad stuck in a Dreamcast controller, but of course, what do they know?

As long as this thing is light, I don't care. Can't be arsed with a controller pulling me to the ground every time though.

Who'd actually believe that anyways? Smilie

Those pics are from 4Chan I think, drawn by people from the site.

They also used, the gamecube controller, for the basics of that controller, as well.

and secondly, since that's a "blueprint"/plan of the system.... wouldn't it be in japanese, or somethings in japanese?

and if it was real, Nintendo would've been shooting down, all the images by now. remember with this generation of pokemon, when serebii had to pull down all of the pokemon pics, even when the game was released in japan?

It just looks far too similar to a dell PC I've seen (one of the mini ones), and the controllers are GC/Xbox Controllers with a screen in the middle.

These are the most obvious fakes.

Whatever the case may be, I think Nintendo need to make a statement to end this kind of thing. (26th of April is the expected date for the PR release - Nintendo hold a shareholders meeting that day)

Fake...

This brings back memories of all those fake Revolution images people made.

The image with the black model looks like it's computer generated in 3D modelling software. You only need to look at the badly done Nintendo logo on the system and it's plain obvious it fake. I highly doubt the company would mention PC and Xbox 360 in their promotional material either.

Plus the 1080p thing on a small screen? it makes no sense at all.

It's saying you can take a quarter of the 1080p screen, not the full 1080p image Smilie

Miyamoto tidbits from gameblog.fr interview (where he recently said he's trying to bring Mario 3DS out this year):

* He's busy working on a new Zelda, a new Mario, a new Mario Kart on 3DS, and a new Pikmin
* There are new AR titles being prepared for the 3DS (no details on whether these are retail games or downloadable)
* They celebrated Mario's 25th anniversary last year, and they intend to do the same this year for Link. He says there will be many products/merchandising (not sure about the translation on this, is he talking about games or CD/books?)
* About the "project cafe" rumors, he said they are always working on new hardware. He also added "where there's smoke there's fire", but that "you shouldn't believe everything you read [on the internet]".
* Some boring stuff about smartphone gaming
* He's thinking about entrusting the younger teams with traditional characters such as Mario and Zelda, so he can get more time to work for himself

Haha, the rumour millers are hard at work today.

Not even for an SDK sent out to a developer?

I think it looks like a black Zippo lighter, lol. I wonder if that top half's a lid.. It would be so cool if it rose up to reveal a 3D projector. That kinda technology does exist, I recall seeing Apple patent one method.

If they wanted third parties to port their games from 360/PS3 they would mention at least one of them.

I just thought about something with the controller (I actually thought of this idea years ago, but it never came true), what if it came apart like Lego, and transformed like transformers, that would mean that it could be both a Classic Style controller and a Wii Remote style controller at the same time, meaning all the features with the touchscreen and stuff can be both implemented if needed and taken away if it hinders the game (same with Motion controls).

I call it, the Transforemote.

Doubtful. They'd get technical documentation, sure, but those images are too close to promotional material.

If these were from a developer, they'd also have all the time in the world to take pictures. They could take proper photos - and of multiple pages - rather than what seems to me to be one image that has been created and had different parts of it photographed.

Also note how in each picture the top of the word 'Café' is cut off. The person creating it doesn't know if it's supposed to have an accent on the 'e' or not...
