Project Needlemouse -New 2D Console Sonic

PS2 does teh HD... occasionally.

Thought I'd use this thread for an update.

So Sega Blog is now showing some concept art for the game. It's already been confirmed that Crabmeat and Motobug will be included, so they've decided to release the game's name, some Concept Art of the first zone, and "A very cool extra bonus". The catch? 100 pieces of fan-art. Of course, the fans have already countered their calls for a wave with a tsunami, so they're releasing one extra piece of swag per extra 50 submissions during the Hedgehog Day(This Tuesday) celebration.

God of War 2 did HD but only on the US version but ere's the thing... you ad to av a blimmin cheat code to activate it. I'm not trolling I'm 100% serious I forgot why the other regions didn't have that option. Left right up up dwn up circle tri square X, suddenly it's like when peter parker tries to look through his glasses when he becomes spidermale.

This week is officially "Hedgehog Week" according to SEGA, as many community challenges have been met and exceeded. This week we're probably going to get the game's real title, as well as a lot more concept art.

Holy shit, why can't they release a single Sonic game without me getting excited? Fucking Sonic Cycle.

The worst part? This game is pretty much stuffed to the brim with "hope for Sonic's true return". There's a good chance it will never be achieved.
This game could either be the biggest comeback in gaming history, or the biggest letdown in gaming history.

Shame Yuji Naka left. If he was still in Sonic Team then the game might not be a let down for those of us who are specualting it to be good. The new Sonic Team just rush the ne Sonic games. But that is just what I think.

It's all a bit tl;dr for me, but they seem pretty sure of it.

Cool. Has there been any news on the levels or anything likr that?

There's a rumour (which is very possibly true) that the first zone is called Splash Hill Zone, and the last Zone is called E.G.G. Station Zone.

I wonder if they will be based on the older levels?

Although the lack of optional characters would pretty much make this "Sonic 1 with different levels"

We will just have to wait and see. Sonic Stadium post new stuff every few weeks, so maybe they will have more information on the game.

This week is Hedgehog Week, so we'll be getting the game's title as well as shitloads of new concept art for badniks and stages in the next few days.

I hope it is nothing like Sonic 1. There have been so many ports of that game I can't take another one. I just hope the new Sonic Team don't balls this up.

I want awesome animation from this. There's no reason why we can't have Earthworm Jim-quality of animation, but in HD.

oh man some of you need hiting over the head sonic need to drop all the shit he pick up from all the 3D games and go back old school in the same way new super mario bros wii have

they need to do it all starting from the sonic 3 gameplay drop everything we had in 3D games like they never happen eg Star trek

make it old but new for today not what was cool back in the 90's

I want this to have a feel of Sonic Advance but in HD. That would be epic.
