Personally it bugs me when they do otherwise. We all know they'll be retranslated and re-released eventually, basically we want consistency. Personally I don't like that the Dragon Quest games released in Europe aren't numbered, it makes them ALL seem like spin-offs!

Although it should be noted that Persona 1 and 2 made it to North America, unlike FFII, III and V.

Why did they keep it as Persona 3 and Persona 4 when the first ones haven't even been released here? Really bugs me when they do that. Smilie

I own 1 and 2 in NTSC format so they did get released outside of Japan, just not in the other 90% of the world. Fingers crossed that after they remake P1 on PSP they remake P2 as well

Unless you count the GBA re-makes.

It requires great courage to look at oneself honestly, and forge one's own path.

The story for this really rocks. And it keeps getting better as you go in. This game is perfect for a New Game plus, all RPGs should have it really.

Well even the PS1 remakes. The fact is when FFVII came out, it caused a huge confusion and fuss and people bought FFII on GBA expecting to see Cecil, Rosa, Rydia, Kain, etc etc, not Firion and his merry band of weirdos.

So consistent numbering is definitely best. If gamers know they're missing out there's demand for a remake or port, isn't there?

I can see why FF7 confused people but at least they've released 1-6 now.

If Persona 4 is as good as you say, I'll probably get the third game. Smilie

I remember how happy i was when i found out they were making FFIII on DS, thinking it was a VI remake, was so disappointing when the first trailer surfaced and it was the Japanese one.

Smilie I had already done my research and when they revealed FFIII for DS I knew it was the only game in the series that had never been officially localised.

So I was very happy for other reasons. Of course an actual FFVI remake would be like the ultimate dream game, but I'm kinda pleased it wasn't on DS (so far); I don't think the DS could do it justice, and I don't think it would get enough attention on the PSP. So yeah, Wii!

If you've come this far:

*evil laugh* MUHAHAHAHAHA *goes back to finishing it for the second time*

Well to update the thread, thought i may aswell post up the opening intro to the game since i always find myself watching it before i start playing the game, who knows why, but it feels like it gets me into the mood or something

Somehow I can't help but love the insanely cheesy music. Nearly all of them D:

The intro's pretty loud compared to the rest of the game Smilie

The music is nice but Side A which is included with the game only gives half the effect. Side B's about half junk-half sweet.

And yes, 4's theme is definitely better than 3's.

Of course, 3 makes up for that with its secondary title sequence/trailer.

I didn't mind 3's, not as interesting as 4's but mildly catchy, loved the 2nd opening though.

I remember hearing Persona 3's intro music on Port Island. >=o

I'm currently in Naoto's dungeon =D

Oh yes, Naoto. I've always found him to have quite a girly voice.

I\'m thinking Naoto is definitely a reverse trap.

The dungeon is giving me hell though! I\'ve died 3 times on B7. Those Hell Knights can 1hit-KO Souji. D: Love the music for the dungeon though.

Only read if you wanna know ultimate spoilers

The boss of Naoto\'s dungeon was way too easy compared to how hard the rest of the bloody dungeon was...

It\'s weird that having multiple girlfriends has no negative effects on anyone Smilie And even though I know this it still takes some time thinking about what to say in Social Link Events.

I\'m currently working on Social Links... I completely ignored all the part time jobs because I thought they\'d just take up time that I didn\'t have. What are the part time jobs like?

Yep, one good thing about Persona is getting to pimp around.

Acutally, *hint hint* some of the part time jobs ARE social links. The other ones give you yet another thing to do at night that boosts your personality.

In Summary;

Translator ups your understanding
Origami ups your expression
Envelope making ups your diligence
Janitor - Devil social link
Day care - S.Link (might be heirophat, but i forget)
Tutor - S.Link (forget what one)

Thanks for the summary, I guess I'll do the S-Link jobs in my New Game +.

Currently finishing the Culture fest scenes.

Day Care is Temperance and Tutor is Tower.

I think I might get back into P4 sometime soon. I've still got a few months left.

Anyone know when the last day to build S.Links is? I don\'t want to know why, I just want to be able to plan my remaining free days a little.

Currently about to do the dungeon you unlock on the 6th of November.

Bump.

I think I\'ve avoided the \"bad endings\" because I\'ve managed to get to December the 8th and the story is still progressing.

Maybe I\'ll complete it in the next couple of days!

By the way, the last day to raise S.Link for your party members if November 27. I\'m pretty sure you can keep raising other characters after then, probably until December 23 or 24.

I'll have to start playing this again, but i'm working on my chrono trigger games, as well as valkyria chronicles.
