Dark Knight - 8/10

The first time I saw it, I didn't think it was all that great. I just watched it again yesterday though - and two things have improved my opinion of it...

1. All of the hype has died down. Smilie
2. The night before last I saw that fucking terrible Batman movie from 1989 on Channel 4. What the fuck.

I really liked the Burton Batman films.

yeah, and at least it wasn't that really god awful Batman and Robin

Perhaps it was my first viewing of the Dark Knight and all of its seriousness that made the '89 one strange/bad to me. Either way, I thought it was terrible.

Hancock - 8/10

Will Smith + Super Powers = Win. Smilie

The House Bunny - 9/10

It was pretty much guaranteed that I would like the film since I just about like everything starring Anna Faris. Smilie

Step Brothers

Pretty funny although it sort goes down a bit towards the end.

7.5/10

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

8.5/10

The Ring (japanese version) 8/10 - it was nowhere near as scary as I thought it would be from hearing what people say about it, but quite a good film Smilie

Higurashi 8/10 another japanese horror film and again pretty good Smilie Apparently there\'s going to be loads of sequals to it - can\'t wait Smilie

The anchor man 6/10 saw this because of a friend\'s recommendation - it was funny at times...but nothing great.

Death Note 2: The last name 9/10 - I loved the comics and I loved this - it was awesome!! Smilie

Sin City - 9/10 This was awesome as well. And it\'s use of black+white/colour worked really well Smilie

Scary Movie - 5/10 watched this at my friend\'s house...it was mostly bad...

Serenity 7/10 This won an award somewhere for the best sci-fi film ever, so I decided to check it out...and it was okay.

Saw - 8/10
Saw 2 - 6/10
Saw 3 - 5/10
Saw 4 - 4/10
The series started off okay...but then kept getting worse, until it was just no feasible storyline, just lots of killing.
Not seen 5 yet, and it\'s probably for the better.

Half term well spent. Smilie

Avoid Games Like the Plague, productivity++

I really want to watch the deatnote movies, Where are you getting them from?

Taken: 8/10

Good action movie with the good guy beating up tons of bad guys. Liam Neeson is basically the new Chuck Norris after seeing this movie.

TAG: That American Guy

"If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." Romans 12:18

Dark Knight 9/10

This is a great movie, even though i dont like very long films this is one i really did enjoy.

full of action, drama, twisted comedy

TaoFire spilt the water!

I wanted to see the Death Note films too. And yeah Liam Neeson is an excellent actor.

Jackie Chan - My Story/My Stunts - 8/10
Its for fans, no doubt, but it is very entertaining. His terrible English is most amusing. Its also cool to see how HK action works in comparison to USA action flicks.

Have to see The Good, The Bad and The Weird, Gran Torino and maybe The Curious Case of Benjamin Button this week.

Don\'t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood
7/10 - The Wayans never fail to make me laugh. The OTT silliness of their jokes are great. Their new film Dance Flick is looking good. Smilie

Brokeback Mountain
8/10 - After not wanting to watch it for ages, I finally caved and watched it at a friends. I thought it was very good and enjoyed it although it is also a very depressing film. The film has a sad ending and leaves you in such a low mood after watching it.Smilie

Big Willies #9 I give 8/10, it was quite refreshing! Smilie

--- I am in room 218 ---

Flight of The Navigator - 10/10.

Buffalo '66

It was pretty good some things I just didn't like though.

7/10

There's some shocking taste floating round this threadSmilieSmilie

The Last King of Scotland - Alright. Not half as good as everyone made out. 5/10

Less posty, more gamey.

BOLT (Disney)

9/10

Very enjoyable, typical Disney story about a dog featured in a TV show who believes his super powers which are portrayed in said TV show are real, gets taken across the other side of America and ends up trekking back to where he came from first...the plot isn't a million miles away from Toy Story, but it's still an enjoyable flick, with lots of humour from Rhino the Hamster, voiced by Mark Walton (Chicken Little's Goosey Loosey). Miley Cyrus puts in a good performance as Penny, the girl who stars alongside Bolt in the TV show. The only reason I marked this down was because I felt Bolt's part was miscast, John Travolta is, undoubtedly, a brilliant actor, I enjoyed Broken Arrow, Face Off, and thought he was amazing in Pulp Fiction. However, he has a very laid back style, and I felt a young puppy would have benefitted by having someone more energetic in the role (Chris Tucker anybody?)

Guy Ritchie\'s Rock \'n\' Rolla 9/10 so much charm, comedy and brilliance

Jack Nicholson looked like a fag compared to Heath Ledgers portrayal of Joker.

I thought it was the other way around.

The Good The Bad and The Weird - 10/10
I cannot stress how good this film is. Its probably my favorite Korean film I\'ve seen, alongside Old Boy. A Korean Western set in 1930\'s Manchuria sounds a bit funky. But man is it funky like, good funky! The story, the music and the characters were amazing! It harks back to the golden days of the \"Dollars Trilogy\", and I\'m sure Sergie Leone would be proud. I\'m so glad I got to see this in the cinema, it was the last day. I\'m picking this up on DVD as soon as its out. The amount of exclamation marks I used can be a testament to how much I recommend this film!

Oh and ever notice how Lee Van Cleef is missing part of one of his fingers? I only noticed it when watching The Good The Bad and The Ugly in the cinema, its not part of the film, he\'s just really missing it. It is however incorporated storyline wise into this film, can\'t say where though or I\'ll ruin it. But yeah, I love little things like that!

Tomorrow night Film4 - First Death Niote movie is on about 10:00

7th March the second is on about 11:00

Martin you're confusing Joker with the guy in brokeback mountain who looked like him and was a fag. Phew what a save.

Seriously Martin Jack looks like a fag with his waist high trousers. At least they half explain why Joker's face is messed up in Dark Knight. Falling in acid does not make you're face permanently white. otherwise Michael Jackson would of went power swimming in it and saved some money (and dignity). Pengiun was good. Who could play Pengiun or Riddler if they was in the next?

Ultraviolet 7/10
Really nice comic book style, some epic fighting and some of it reminds me of equilibrium to an extent. Story is a bit jumbled and you have to pay close attention to keep up. Though overall a good film.
