I attemped to watch Bubble Boy with a large group of women, but it is impossible (IMPOSSIBLE I SAY!) to watch anything with a large group of the female gender. Smilie

I reckon that L Change the World will turn up on Film4 too in suit with the first two movies. Hopefully this time my record won't get cancelled.

Ip Man: 10/10
Slum Dog Millionaire: 4/10 (What is the fuss about?)

The stupid thing about acting normal is that normal people get into stupid situations.

I went to the cinema to see Gran Torino today. By the time I reached the top of the enormous queue it was sold out, so I went to Slumdog Millionaire instead. Boy am I glad I didn't pass this film up (I would have if it wasn't the only other film on at 6.30!). It was excellently told. Hilariously funny at times, littered with moments of dire melancholy. Excellent! Thank god they kept the dancing for the credits (I despise Bollywood)! 8/10!

Rise of the Footsoilder was one of the best gangster film since the Godfather. It had everything you could want in a film, Violence, Drugs, swearing. It had a really gritty story and some really good acting. 10/10

Taken

who knew Liam Nelsson would be a kick @$$ guy!!!

9/10

(i hope for some type of sequel where he devels deeper in the sex trafficing scandal and puts a near end to it, at least in Paris; where he daughter was)

-make it count- Hey if you wanna play Wii Games with me, check out my game portion of my profile and pm me if you wanna add me so I can add you!

Saunders, Death Note is being repeated tonight, with the second one on tomorrow!

Gran Torino 9.5/10
A truly exquisite film! I once read that even in a bad film Clint Eastwood is a pleasure to watch. I'm not saying Gran Torino was a bad film by any means, but Eastwood's performance far out shadowed the plethora of below par actors that filled the cast. I did however enjoy the story. It had many mixed emotions, and the humour was great; he's still Dirty Harry! I personally had hoped for a more Dirty Harry ending but the ending really suits the piece. A must see, especially for any Eastwood fan. At 78 (same birthday as mine, not year though Smilie ) he's still one of the best actors in the business!

Death Note: The last Name 8/10

I really liked it, they followed the story semi closely and it was actually decent.
But:

overall, Worth watching.

Death Note: The Last Name

7/10

Impressions, contains spoilers:

Being a martial arts and kung fu film fan, I kinda feel not legit as I don't own and have seen berely any Shaw Brother's. Smilie

GTFO!! Nah, I'm joking.
I saw it years ago but I found the tape again and decided to watch it agin Smilie
It's brilliant, if you can find it, watch it this instant!

2010- 9.999999999 out of 10:
I still stand by my belief that there is no such thing as a "perfect" movie, but damn, does this come ever so close. Being the sequel to 2001, it had some tough shoes to fill, but it pulled it off nicely. Dare I say it, it's better that 2001. If you haven't seen it, watch 2001, then watch 2010, and prepare to have your mind blown!

Taken 10/10
Quantum of Solace 9/10
The Transporter 2 8/10
One Missed Call 6/10 (cliched to hell, it's like Final Destination but with a phone or something and even more stupid teenagers..sigh)

Dark knight 9/10 Still a brilliant film, and this time I wasn't high and drunk while watching it!

Pineapple express 9/10 hilarious film, I'm guessing it would be even better high ( because of all the high related aspects of the film e.g. the whole film)

The Children 8/10 British horror starring some girl out of Hollyoaks. Better then I expected.

Body of Lies 8/10 Ridley Scott delivers

Pitch Black 10/10 Uh huh Riddick bitches
Chronicle of Riddick 9/10 A different take on the Riddick universe, but Riddick is still bad ass in this. Eagerly awaits the next two. Love, love, j'adore Riddick.

The 36th Chamber of Shaolin - 8/10

What a film! Yes, I found the first half fairly boring, but once the martial arts kicks in (I'm always accidentally making puns these days) its great! The tri-section staff was class! I now want one, my nunchaku dontt seem adequate any more. Although seeing the swastikas in the Buddhist temple did make me realise how over emphasised the Nazi swastika is. People seem to denounce the "evil" symbol everywhere without realising its origin. Its a beautiful symbol when its not used in the Nazi context and I believe people should embrace the non-Nazi variants instead of simply condemning the Swastika as if its a purely Nazi symbol. Sorry about my English and reasoning tonight, I'm very tiredSmilie

I just ordered L: Change the WorLd, I'll have a rating up when it arrives.

Citizen Kane

10 out of mother fu*kin' 10- Yeah, I'm a hypocrit. I said that I would never give a movie 10/10, but this seems like the perfect movie. Voted #1 by AFI (American Film Institute- Pretty much every director/editor/producer is part of it) both in 1998 and just recently in 2008, the only two times they've done the Top 100 Movies of All Time. It truely is a masterpiece.
