Turns out I might be tied up for Saturday too. What I have on Saturday might get cancelled but the chances are slim.
I'm good for Friday as well.
Friday! I'm there and I'm square!
Just so everyone here knows, I think a rough start time of 7pm onwards is good for most people. I know some have said they'll be on about 6:30pm onwards, so that's fine. jb says he'll be there 7pm-7:30, and will likely be the same for me.
FUCK THIS GAME
Hi, I'm new and I'm looking for a mario kart wii friend.
My friend code is 1035-5430-2808
Blimey the video from our matches last night is taking ages to process on YT, I don't what's going on. It's been done uploading and processing for the past 5 hours! I might have to re-upload it tomorrow :/
I think it's working now mate. Right on cue.
Hey you're right, I just got an email telling me it's working. Cheers!!
EDIT: Gotta love the 2 against 1 battle match at 1:44:00 ^^.
lol I see why no one replies to a lot of the stuff I say/ask now, because I hear myself either not coming out on your end, or just coming out with Lylat speak XD
Lol at the start getting snes mario circuit xD

Wow. Not a single GP or Balloon Battle was completed with all starting participants by the end. Absolute disaster. I guess we could try again in another 2 weeks. If we end up with problems again though, I think maybe just give it a break until one final try before MK8 comes out.
I suppose Mario Kart 7 would be a possibility too, but the main problem is that we can't record the footage alongside the call. Then again, it really is the Skype call itself that's the actual highlight, since we had to step it up to make it entertaining with the Mario Kart Wii online dying on us all the time.
Yeah, might as well just try for some casual MK7 on a few occasions just to mess around on. So long as MK8 works fine in the end, that's the main thing. I can already foresee some bullshit on my end though lol. I think I've pretty much had my fix of MKW now. I'm up for trying it again a couple more times, but I won't be arsed if we've already had our last with it.
I would want to give MKW another go, but after we went through all the trouble of getting everybody on for a session and most of the time we weren't even playing with all the random shit that's happening, it would really just be a waste. Someone recording the Skype call itself would still be worth it, just listen to the first 20 seconds of the last one for proof lol.
PS: 1:48:00 for my Arnie impression.

Arnie was amazing. That's just the thing I hate with MKW right now - getting everyone on for a sesh, only for it to fuck up. That one last night was the worst we've had, really awful. We could still record Skype in MK7, but without some footage to put most of it in context, it would be hard to sit and listen to it all. But I don't mind just casually playing it on Skype and chatting anyway, like we have done a couple of times with four or five of us. We could try for a bigger sesh at some point too, though I'm not sure how many we could get for that one as a max. Maybe if we don't do a MKW sesh tomorrow (which I doubt we will), try for a casual MK7 one or something.
I'd be up for some MK7 tomorrow. I doubt most others would want to try MKW again after that disaster, too.
Skype call would still be nice to have for reference and saving the valuable moments, since there usually are amazing ones that aren't even connected to what's happening in the actual game. Another advantage of MK7 is that we also don't need as many people to make it worthwhile, even four is already fairly decent.
Right, will see about trying to play MK7 tomorrow night then. I'll just post in the MK7 thread tomorrow or something and see if people are interested.
We can't get more than 8 people together on MK7 though, that's a downside. If we were to try with 9, like we did with Stu, we would have a problem
So far we've rarely had 9 people IIRC, so if it does happen for Mario Kart 7, we'll figure something out.
Btw Link, watch from 2:16:55 for that well placed bob-omb throw that got both you and Lewis in one fell-swoop ... Then I lost that earned advantage by not paying attention because I was listening to you guys XD, so it wasn't much use after all
