10 Stars - 1st (+10 if 60 points)
5 Stars - 2nd
2 Stars - 3rd?

TEAM GP:
5 Stars Each (+5 for whoever came first in the team overall).

And also let's try that backwards race/GP for laughs lol - everyone to hold C Button (Wii Remote) / X or Z on GC Controller, X or ZR on Classic for the whole race.

Yeah Jorge I'd like it better if we could start earlier tonight, and all be online as early as possible, so we could possibly record as much as possible, and I'll really need to do something to help us sync the sound better in editing, like give a signal or something, to help sync image and video... AND set my mic higher when I record... and I'm looking into adding better codecs to get better video quality when I record, cause that mpeg2 is really annoying!

But the games were loads of fun indeed ^^. Did you guys play until much later afterwards? Couldn't stay on any longer cause I had other stuff left to do before hitting the sack

Hmm - for playthroughs what I do weirdly is record audio on my phone (by pointing the phone at the TV and recording video - I then press "Start" or Home and then overlay the phone video on the gameplay footage, syncing up the frames where the start menu comes in - removing the video for perfect syncing (as it's on frame level) - the tradeoff is though, poorer quality audio but my phone is quite decent!

We could do a sound sync-up, so what you could poss try is saying "START" and pressing Home on your Wii at the same time - hopefully that'll be enough!

We played till scarily late, time just flew by! I popped off around 1:30 - dunno how long the others stayed up till. Finally won a single GP haha.

That's exactly what I had in mind Jorge and exactly what I did in the video AND audio I sent you, I pressed the button and said something (can't remember what now XD) at the same time at one point.

I'm editing more stuff now to put on Youtube, namely the game we did with Az just before you joined Jb

Something for 2nd and 3rd would be nice, as long as there are 5/6+ players, so it's not too easy to get them. Rewards those that are consistently near the top and not just the one who placed 1st.

We played until around 2am (UK) afterwards, Rudy. Probably wasn't worth it because I got a 3am night in addition to the 5am one from Friday, so I'm not in a good shape for today. I know quite a few people could start earlier today but I know Az said he has family dinner on Sundays and won't make it before roughly 8pm (UK) again.

Oh well, we'll manage either way !

Lol am good to start around 7:30 perhaps? Maybe earlier - though it is amazing here in London today (clear skies, 18 degress - which is amazing for the UK lol), so trying to enjoy it as much as poss before it goes to the normal rain rain rain.

Good point SL - maybe if there are at least 5 racers, then the above stars would apply for 1st, 2nd and 3rd, and then if anything less than 5 it should only be for whoever comes 1st gets the 10?

We getting a full 12 tonight? Will be totally mad! Imagine a 12 person reverse GP lol!

Same for me. Az, you're gonna have an easy one tonight (well except for Lewis) since those two late nights in a row wrecked me a bit too much. Can't be worse than jb's legendary performance on Friday, though.

Is anyone good at mixing tracks? I've tried to play around in Audacity to speed the MK64 track up to match the bass track of the Sonic 2 one, and make the volume levels equal, and play them on top of each other, but I'm a noob at audio editing, so I can't do it properly lol.

Just gave that a quick try Az', but when the two tracks overlap, even at the same tempo (just slow down the tempo of the sonic one by 5 percent in audactiy and the beats match closely) I can't quite make the two tracks correspond with anything other than the general beat, so it's a real mess XD.

Yeah, it sounded like a jumbled mess to me too lol. If there was a way to lower the volume of the main themes to hear the bass beats better, that would be cool, but it's just a single track, so I doubt it's possible. Not with my limited knowledge anyway lol. Cheers though.
