Has anyone seen a fully golden kart yet?

Oh ok, I'll add your new code.

No but I've seen different colour Shyguys online. I wonder how you get them on?

Thanks mate. Just seen that you added me Smilie.

Really liked the Music Park track Smilie.

You unlock gold parts for getting at least a star as your overall rank when you fully complete the game. I got 1 star and unlocked the gold tires. I presume you get the other parts for getting 2 and 3 stars.

The others include a golden kart and steering wheel.

Rudy, is your current 3DS code in your profile? Because that's the one I've added.

I've added you Rudy. I've put my 3DS code in my signature.

Thinking about setting up a tournament, but just wondering what the majority of you guys think would be best. Two options, I reckon:

1. Make a community for everyone to join and we race a fixed amount of matches, say 8 or something.

2. Knockout style. Every signs up, then we're all paired off randomly to do a 1v1 race (or best of 3). Win and progress to next round. Lose and go out. Since you can't ask Friends to join your own room, it looks like each 1v1 would need to create their own community just for that one specific race.

Only problem with the first option is if people keep getting the community errors many of us have had. It's not often that more than 5 of us can join in the same community at one time.

So I'll let people decide on what they think is best, and I'll start something up soon. Anybody interested please say. I need to start making more use of this game.

Azuardo>I don't think I had added you. Maybe that's because you didn't have a 3DS yet when I added most of the regular C3 members. Adding you right away Smilie.

Geez, this game pisses me off, seriously. The only cup on which I'm still stuck with one lone star is the Mirror mode Special Cup. The game keeps sending me blue shells right before the finish line. I wish I had at least two stars as a global rank, then I could rest in peace. I don't expect to get 3 stars any time soon (though I thought that abour MK Wii and I got them in the end, but after months of gameplay XD).

Then again... It hasn't even been a week yet since I got the game, so maybe with a bit more practice... I've only put in 12 hours so I maybe I shouldn't expect to be able to score all 3-stars so soon haha.

So I got this for christmas. Great fun so far, just started on 100CC, I like the layout of the later stages that have you progress through them instead of doing laps. Good idea in my book and a welcome change.

I've been hit by a lot of lightning and blue shells though. It wouldn't be so bad if they kept the 2second immunity from weapons after you have been hit (the amount of times I aimed for a bannana to avoid a blue shell...) but I must of been hit by a chain of 4 weapons because of its removal...And I've been hit by shells in mid air...

The weapons deal is pretty mad - though I think a little calmer than the Wii one (not sure though, haven't played it for too long). Got the game for Christmas and finished 150cc, but not mirror yet.

Am a bit disappointed at the lack of single player VS races (as in the ability to pick a selection of tracks/rules and go for it). Not as bad given online play, but still a welcome feature missed especially with a portable edition. Need something to do when on the move!

I too love the longer stages + new Rainbow Road, hoping for more tracks like this in the next Mario Kart, perhaps even a mode/Outrun style race.

Online play has been good for me so far, done about 15 races and not been D/Ced yet - very smooth, not so many blue shells. Been good!

Alright lads.

Marzy, how long you on for? I'm having late dinner again soon, as usual, but can get on in about an hour.

I'll be around for a few hours, that's fine with me. Smilie

Better have your Internet fixed this time, mate. Don't wanna deal with four players only in a community again.

Oh yeah. Will find out when the time comes. Maybe it's bad internet week up here.

Who's free for this tonight then?

Our member of the week

Not before quite late at night for me tonight. However, I really don't see the point in recording without any video footage to go along with, seriously. If someone with a good camera and tripod or something like that could keep still in front of the camera (like using the Kid Icarus 3ds stand for this) that would be good, but I'm not equipped for this, sadly. I have a 720p capable Nikon camera for taking pics which won't record video clips any longer than a few minutes (no matter the capacity of the SD card inside, which is lame)

EDIT: I can record 8 mins clips at 720p and 25mins clips at 480p, which I guess would be enough for what's essentially a 240p game to begin with but I have no idea how I would set this up as I don't have any kind of stand for keeping the camera still and fixed on one point.
