No problem, there's no need Smilie

The only issue I see is not being able to select or de-select individual items, but then that may be because it would make designing the games AI model much more difficult.

Sadly, it's the same old story, 3DS owners are still paying the price of a rushed out system. This game, like SM3DL, was rushed out and lost features/content because of it. Reading Iwata Ask's it's clear they had much more planned. I guess we'll see those features in the WiiU game.

If it wasn't for the inclusion of so many classic tracks and Retro working on them, this game wouldn't have arrived until early next year. I'm not disgruntled, because it's vital this game comes out now and does well, the few but vital changes here are enough for me.

It's a shame water sections are so wanky, they could have been better designed with the inclusion of custom propellers and cleverly designed features that take advantage of the slower pace.

Nobody plays Mario Kart competively on 100cc Mush. XD
I'm pretty sure MKW was 100cc online. I just thought I'd set it as that and then change it when everyone else was around, in case they wanted different preferences. Smilie

IIRC, it always picks between 100cc, 150cc and Mirror Mode randomly. At least that's how it is for the Friends races in rooms, which are now seemingly replaced by communities.

I thought it was either 100cc or Mirror. Shows how much attention I pay. Smilie

Had trouble getting online to work. Had one or two GPs when I played earlier, but now it's not letting me have any races, saying an error occurred. I'm online, but it's just not letting me join races. Seems like something on their end. Going out for an hour or so now so will see if it's sorted when I get back.

Got the game through yesterday, having a blast thus far. Will wait until I unlock Mii usage then join you guys online. Smilie

Okay, I've set up an official Cubed 3 community, with 150cc and all items. This community can be used as the main one we race on, but for tournaments someone else can set up another community dedicated to that (just in case we want specific rules).

Code for the main community is: 29-5021-3040-1205

It's great to just have a main one, because it has a leaderboard.

I keep getting errors, I haven't been able to play two games in a row so far :/

My favourite new music:

I'll set up a tournament as soon as we have enough people, definitely. How many of us have the game so far?

We could try to get a bunch of us in the C3 community sometime this evening for some races, then I'll go about making a tourney.

We'll probably be having quite a few of them Smilie

I'm available to play up until 10pm.

The rubber banding in this game is too severe, it seems even worse than the Wii game in that respect. I'm still having fun though.

I agree, especially in 150cc mode.

The recovery from a blue shell is by far the worst I've experienced too. Your kart seems to roll for ages and it always seem to hit me on a slanted or hill area. When that happens your kart just starts rolling down and takes ages to get back up to speed. I wouldn't mind if it was now and again, but the game seems to be a sore loser if you start beating it and then it has a fit and starts throwing everything at you, blue shells, red shells, lightning bolts.

Online has been mediocre for the most part. Most of the time I get fed up with it not working and I'd rather just play Mario Kart Wii (knowing it'd work straight away). I hate there's no names displayed on top of characters now. How am I supposed to know who I hit, when we're playing with C3 members? It makes it feel like your just racing CPU players and it's lifeless. Even the DS Mario Kart had names displayed.

Anyway, I still think Mario Kart Wii is better, overall.

Well this certainly doesn't make me want to hurry up and buy it :/. I have other games which I'd like to buy in priority while I can get my hands on them.

It a real shame about the online not being up to scratch.

@marzy

I miss the names also, it's a glaring omission that ruins online fun.

Yea, and you can get hit repeatedly by them, I've been hit by a blue shell twice in very close succession, about two seconds towards the very end of a race, leaving no chance of recovery what so ever.

Oh god, snaking is back!

But yeah, agree with everything said so far. Hopefully once a bunch of us are playing online together it won't feel as bad, but right now I'm disappointed. No names online is idiotic. I'm sick of Nintendo just being pure shit at online. MKW was great, yet they went backwards from there.

I was able to buy a 3DS for £96 today + Mario Kart for £28, so once I'm all setup I can get in on some online.

Nice deal. I shall be on soon.

Excellent! Can't wait to play online with you. Smilie

They've done it to reduce clutter given the screen size, it's no excuse though, they could have had appearing text bubbles that vanish when you get into close proximity.

We need an update, Mii's aren't good enough.

lol, see what I mean, first until the very end. Good games, particularly Rainbow Road and Kalimari.

Someone got me with a bomb on Kalamari!

I got third because of that. Smilie

And so I got absolutely panned against Marzy, Marconi (one of our lovely reviewers) and several Japanese players.

I am crap at Mario Kart.

I think it's pretty good. 50cc is the most boring mode I've ever played, I gotta say.

My FC is: 0387-9125-4522.

Can play at weekends.

Adding. My FC's in profile.
