Is it just me or does Fi have hot legs? It was one of the first things I noticed (and said to myself) about her. Smilie

As for my progress:

About Zelda:

It's arrived! Going to play now. Smilie

Will share my first impressions later. Also, the gold Wiimote is beautiful. I'm so glad I went for the Special Edition.

Surprised it didn't come for you yesterday :L Oh well, at least you've got it now :]

Yeah, loving the gold remote. Anyone playing with the jacket and wrist strap though? I tore those things off as soon as I took it out of the box. Hate them.

My progress (after first temple):

I've been playing for the past hour or so, and I'm loving it so far.

Can't believe I'm stuck on this bit!

I'm a bit further than you Azuardo. About your progress (no spoilers for you but there might be for others).

Haha, I just tried that now. Nice!

After reading the gamespot review again, it seems like the reviewer was stupid enough to not realise that you use the gyro controls for the bow and arrow and such instead of the IR, hence his low score.

omg finally figured it out. Bloody obvious too really -.-

Spoiler/solution for those who haven't started 2nd dungeon yet:

My progress...

The characters in the bazaar are great. Fortune Teller freaked me out in the best way possible, I approached her stall from behind and got a shock.

Totally agree, that bazaar scene has been my favourite cut scene so far. It was so full of character and charming music to accompany it.

Agree about the fortune teller, as well. Those eyes!

I need more playtime to get a more solid opinion on the game so far. I've put in around 4 hours of gameplay.

I'm about at the same point as you Mush.

That fortune teller's reaction when you tell her/him that you don't want her services made me laugh XD.

What do you think of the pointing based on Gyro rather than IR ? (forcing you to recenter it every now and then... when all you want is navigate through the menus) I preferred IR based pointing much better :/...

The gyro pointing does take a bit of getting used to... and I'm getting used to it slowly. It would've been nice to see a combination of both gyro and IR pointing, if that's possible.

Ah, I kinda didn't realise it was using gyro for all of it. I thought some was IR, some was gyro, but that makes sense now. I definitely would have preferred IR for certain aspects of the game. Motion controls don't always do what I tell them to either, which results in a lot of frustration/health lost. Hopefully with more time and practice though, it won't be so bad.

Done 2nd temple now.

Yeah I didn't mean that it wasn't working at all or anything. For the most part, gyro works great for me. But for menu navigation or XXX (see spoiler below if you're past the first dungeon) I would have much preferred IR because it's far more responsive.

But for the rest of what's controlled by gyro, can't say that I have any problem so far. If anything when I fail to do something that's based on gyro, I know it's just me not performing the movement the way I should.

Got it today! I nearly missed it because of my reluctence to get out of bed! Smilie
Just got up to the first dungeon. I must say I'm liking this somewhat flirtatious and cheeky Zelda!

Skyward Sword Is a humble masterpiece, it has an air of humility about it, a reliance on the simple things that Nintendo considers special..and I love it. What makes that statement more potent is that I haven't even finished it yet Smilie

Just got up to the first dungeon, not bad so far. Smilie

I haven't been able to register my copy on Club Nintendo?
