Dude id own anybody if ocarina of time was multiplayer lmao i beat the game from the beginning on N64 in 2 hours and collected all golden skullatas +all heart pieces and never died once

That's a good one. I very much doubt you could get 1/2 way through the game in 2 hours but that's just me, let alone complete it in that time frame. If you did I want to see proof like LKR000 said or you are just full of Bull. And the fact that you never died once is also a load of bull. I doubt you could have fought Phantom gannon without dying.

It's easily possible to play through the game without dying if you've played it before. But yeah, otherwise he's full of shit.

Hope they do a cel-shaded Zelda on par with Wind Waker. That, as well as OOT3D, would be amazing.

I don't like the retextured link. His hair especially is a bit Dreamcast-launchgame.

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

I just hope they add in a few more dungeons, perhaps the ones that were cut out of the final version of OOT. A few extra areas and bosses would also be nice.

Well, adding in Master Quest would be a good move, so hopefully they do that.

Otherwise, it would be nice to get maybe a couple of extra dungeons or other things not in the original.

But it also wouldn't surprise me if we don't get much extra at all.

Personally I'm just happy I can play OOT on a portable but extras are always nice xD

I'm pretty sure there are more than two hours of cinema alone in Ocarina of Time. If you're going to be a stupid troll, at least try to be a good one.

Yeah I see what you mean. But I like it, I think. Then again I don't think it's very easy to mess young Link up. Hopefully he looks good as adult link.

The rest of it looks fantastic to me. What a brilliant game to launch with as well. It's going to be a killer.

I hope for extras but I'm not convinced there will be many. I doubt Master Quest will make it, a few extra dungeons perhaps - or alterations to keep things fresh.

Maybe it's just the extra polygons and higher res textures, it seems they've changed Link's style. Queen Gohma is similarly-improved, but retains the same N64 'look'. Strange. I wonder if the cuts of the latter N64 versions and official emulations will remain, or if we'll see the original Fire Temple music, blood, Spirit Temple icon, etc return.

Not sure about that.

Blood. I want blood to return.

Tom Barry [ Reviewer - Editor - Resident Sim-Racer @ Cubed3.com ]

If you MUST have blood, I have a spare 1.1 cartridge that you can have.. for the right price Smilie

Actually I'm pretty sure I bought a second hand copy of OoT a couple years back which has red blood in it. Smilie

Are they rare or something?

Tom Barry [ Reviewer - Editor - Resident Sim-Racer @ Cubed3.com ]

Yup. Only v1.0 and v1.1 have red blood for Ganon, and red blood on the floor of the Shadow Temple, as well as the original Fire Temple music. For some reason I have you down as living in the UK? The original PAL release of the game was already v1.2, so if that's what you have, you dreamed the blood Smilie

All you have on 1.2 that was later cut for the GameCube/Wii ROMs is the original Spirit Temple symbol (also on mirror shield). So unless it's an early NTSC cartridge, you have 1.2. All that was changed from 1.0 to 1.1 was some bug fixes, and no more gold cartridge. For example, you can no-longer make swordless Link by saving and restarting at the end of the game when the Master Sword is hit out of your hand. You can still do it even on 1.2 by getting done over by one of those maggots that ingest you and take your sword.

1.0 is obviously the hardest one to get hold of, but 1.1 isn't easy either. The vast majority of OoT carts from all regions are 1.2 (as stated, all PAL carts are 1.2, even the gold one Australia got). The game was released in Japan on November 21, 1998, and the PAL version was released on December 11, 1998. Not sure if 1.2 hit NTSC regions at the same time or before, but at most, the game was only on sale for a couple weeks internationally before they got to 1.2, and that revision went on to be manufactured and sold for a few years afterwards.

Thus, there are pathetic amounts of 1.0 and 1.1 in circulation (especially today), compared to 1.2.

PS3 is just good for Catherine, Demons souls, Dark Souls, and Folklore

If they put MQ in then it will be a complete Zelda package. If they do add a few extras or dungeons that would be neat, but the game was just as good when it was release in 1999. All that would complete the Zelda series on hand held would be the release of MM, now that would be even better than OoT.

Hmm I must be mistaken then, I am UK (though living in the US at the moment) - it was definitely PAL so I must be imagining it. Possibly confusing it with when I used to play OoT on an emulator.

I agree with Parker, although I'm super-excited for this, I hope Nintendo don't waste any time in getting to work on a new 3DS Zelda. Majoras Mask has to be ported as some point because so many people missed out on it, but an entirely new adventure in the shape of Oot/MM would be awesome.

I've said this a few times in various Zelda related threads. But I really want to see an even darker/creepier Zelda than MM one of these days. Perhaps the 3DS would be the perfect system to do so on.

Having said this, a cel-shaded Wind Waker type game would also be incredible. Really the only way they could displease me is if they made something in the form of Skyward Sword - that game looks terrible to me. I hate the recent stylistic tweaks (its not really bright at all now which sucks) and maybe I'm just being lazy but I don't really want to play a motion-controled Zelda.

I wonder if the town will be redone in proper 3D, along with some of the interiors of buildings and shops.

I really wish they'd released more shots, perhaps a video or something, because at the moment, I'm not getting the impression this is a remake as such. It looks great and all, and I love OOT to bits, but I just really hope this is a true remake, and we aren't left disappointed.

@Soundworks, I agree too - hopefully they do a MM remake. Hopefully they do a darker and creepier game than MM. And hopefully they do another beautiful cel-shaded game that's on par with Wind Waker. That's a lot of Zelda for one little console, but it would make the system complete.

Do agree on Skyward Sword too. While it will certainly be interesting to play with motion controls, I just wanna sit down, chill, and play my games with a damn controller too!

Wasn't there 2 versions of 1.1? 1.1b changed the blood from red to green?

Due to the excessive travelling and cut scenes which cannot be skipped. I doubt you can do it in 2 hours. Unless you are using a special timer which excludes travel time and cut scenes?

Not to mention the fishing for heart pieces. That is a luck based event. That alone can take 2 hours.

Also, how did you get to Phantom Ganon as Kid Link? You need to be Adult Link to get into the Forest Temple, because y'know, Hook Shot.

Exactly, and let that be the final word on Billy Bullshit, this thread is about what could potentially be the big seller for the 3DS, it's not just a game that all us long time fans respect and admire, it's one that the new generation can just pick up and play. I look forward to making this one of my first purchases.

I was just thinking the same thing. Will they be redone in polys or will it just be prerendered like the original.

I really want them to at least add one more dungeon. I love OoT, but it's getting hard to justify bying it again when I already own the original, the Gamecube version and virtual console version. Smilie

I think OoT in portable form is probably a good enough reason for me, though I agree, it's probably now one of the most re-processed Nintendo games around. Even more so than the Mario games that have been re-appearing every system or so since the NES.

I will be pretty annoyed if they don't port MM as well.
