I managed to do the first time trial on Eggmanland. Smilie 200 attempts did it! Smilie

Anyone played Black Knight yet?

It arrived today... When I put the disc in I came across another big annoying System Menu/Homebrew related hurdle, thankfully I found out which IOS I need to run it and where to get it.

Trying to fix it now, wish me luck, I\'ll update any minute now with the results.

EDIT1: So far, not so good... Gonna try some other things.

EDIT2: Wheeey! I got it working! Booting it in GeckoOS doesn\'t seem to work, so I had to use Gecko\'s rebooter and that worked fine after I got the IOS. If any Homebrewers are having problems, send me a pm and I\'d be glad to help out, although if you\'re running System Menu 3.3 you may need to downgrade to 3.2 as Gecko\'s rebooter doesn\'t work on 3.3.

*plays*

EDIT3: So far nothing special. It\'s more awkward than Secret Rings in some ways, sure you can stop, but the jump (unless you can unlock a charge jump) is too sudden, and moving basically consists of holding forward, moving side to side on set paths. Waggle is often unresponsive, which I knew I wouldn\'t be too happy with... I\'m hoping it\'ll speed up like Secret Rings did too.

Still, the cutscenes seem great so far, it\'s easily Jason\'s best Sonic yet, and his attitude shines. His arguments with the sword can be pretty funny.

So yeah, great music, graphics, and cutscenes, but so far the gameplay isn\'t bad, it\'s solid but nothing amazing. Very short stages too.

I might wait until I see it cheaper then if that's the case. Unleashed is keeping me busy for now.

Well, now I\'m certain that Matt didn\'t finish Black Knight when he reviewed it. My only complaint is that some of the things he missed I enjoyed a lot more than some earlier stages, and the story starts to get pretty good. Other than that I couldn\'t care less.

Why am I sure?

So far the lava town world for me is the worst by far. It\'s plain frustrating at times. Fortunately one of the more recent worlds I played was actually pretty good. I\'ve also tried out Blaze and it\'s great that these characters are optional, it\'s how Ive always wanted other characters to be in Sonic titles.

Unfortunately she\'s not too fast but I hope that will change if I get her a better weapon or something. Still yet to try Knuckles and Shadow, but I\'m pretty sure Knuckles can glide. I\'ll try them when I get home from college. =3

EDIT: I\'m back from college and I\'ve just tried Knuckles and Shadow. One thing I\'m particularly happu about is that Knuckles is not only decently fast for the first time in ages (the first time ever in a 3D Sonic) but he can also glide and climb as expected, except it\'s not a total chore to do like it is in Sonic 2006.

So far is definitely seems like Shadow is the worst character. He\'s fast like Sonic, but he stops whenever he attacks, so basically Sonic does everything Shadow can do but better. Shadow\'s Chaos Control (his Soul Gauge move) is alright but sometimes it takes him ages to use. Knuckles\' Soul Gauge move is awesome.

Also, in the IGN review it stated that the game was 3-4 hours long. That's where the credits come in, but the game is no where close to finished. They were wrong and just finished up as quickly as possible. Hell, they probably only played the preview build as they even said Sega did not send them a review copy. How could they have the review up on it's shipping day? They'd have to be very lucky to find a copy on shipping day. Then, they'd only have a few hours to review it.

I loved the dragon cave level. The game should have more levels like this. You can jump on mushrooms (ala Sonic and Knuckles) to go on a higher and more difficult path. Tons of action on this level too.

I hated the Stalagtites in that stage... They were such an arsepain xD

The first lava world was a huge pain in the arse.

The stages in "part 2" are definitely better than the stages in part 1. As soon as I played the first stage of part 2 I felt like this was more like SatSR than I thought (in the stages way, I loved the stages in SatSR, just not the awkward controls xD

Already downloaded Smilie I put most of the stage music on my iPod. C40\'s version of With Me is pretty good, With Me is probably the best vocal track in the game for me.

it wasnt toooo bad.

Don\'t say that or the forum will disregard your opinions forever! Smilie
