Anime/Manga Fan Thread

I Got my WIFI USB connector working! I can finally play you guys at Jump Ultimate Stars!.....As soon as I get it down from the loft that is....

I thank you guys so much for getting me into Death Note. Its, as we say in Dublin, feckin' deadly! Is there much of a difference between the anime and manga? I've not started the manga yet and I'm at about episode 18 of the ainme. The moments of ingenuity that were slightly present in the films are in abundance in the anime. The close struggle between Light and L always keeps me on my feet and dying to watch more (I keep accidentaly making puns ). I love how there's no definite good and evil character, its all about your perception. I personally prefer L, but I don't like him all that much. Both are childish and extreme in their measures.

I'm currently at 9 in the manga, yet to start 10. From what I recall it sticks pretty close. I know for a fact the endings slightly differ though.

Bleach and Naruto where awesome again this week!
One piece had one of those completly funny/mad/gay madness chapters. Always entertaining!

Shaman King was also brilliant, nice little backlog on one of the characters I had been wandering about for some time.

I wander when the bleach opening is going to change, has it been 25 episodes yet with that opening? I really like it, its like the first opening, nice and stylish!

There was an anime weekend on in a cinema in Dublin city centre today. They showed the Naruto film. I was dying to see it, but I had a maths revision course in Trinity College. What's worse is that the cinema is only 5 minutes from Trintity! Some other film "Sword of the Stranger" was on after. I couldn't convince anyone to go, the typical "Ahh, I've no money" excuse. There was a Q & A with the director afterwards as well! Why do my mates hate anime? I was told Naruto had the cinema full to the brim, which is nice to hear.

I did however find and buy a Death Note belt with the L insignia

Man YGO sucks so much that the fans have to get overly defensive *shot*

don't like the new spin offs of ygo, should have left it after battle island with yugi and it would have been a moderate series.

YGO as a game kicked ass! I spent countless hours on one of the GBA ones. And Dungeon Dice Monsters was very addictive on GBA too (not in real life as it was preposterously expensive).

I remember in primary school my teacher used to watch YGO We used to be discussing the latest episodes with him.

The other weekend I caught YuGiOh GX on ITV2 or something. I watched it for about five minutes. It was so terrible the animation and dialogue are hilarious

The original YuGiOh series was pretty good I remember enjoying that.

Yeah, I really hate the theme tune of the new YGO. And can it legitimately be called YGO is Yu Gi isn't in it?

PowerPuff Girls Z is so horrible. I'm watching the first episode on a lark and it is just WOW.

Recently finished Death Note and am currently watching through Le Chevalier Déon. Not really a big animé fan but I loved Death Note and Déon seems quite good so far.

How do you think Death Note faired after

I felt that it got worse after that incident. It wasn't as gripping as it could of been unfortunatley

yeh i think if they fleshed it out more instead taking leaps of faith then i would have been better. Too many quick jumps of momentum that even L wouldn't have spotted. Also the ending was kinda a let down to me.

I haven't seen the end yet so I'm not going to click the second spoiler.

I've a feeling I might prefer the film's ending, depending on how the anime concludes. Overall though the anime is better. It has some many genius moments that give force you to "Oh" in disgust, agreement or realisation. I can't wait to start reading the manga, hopefully tomorrow!

I just watched the first episode of He Is My Master it was pretty weird.. though not as weird as Beating Angel Dokuro-chan.

After L died it so far seems to got out of hand. I hate both Near and Mello. And Mello\'s missle? That\'d have been easily tracked. It seems to lack the subtlety of the character\'s earlier actions. I was too hoping to maybe see L\'s funeral, they could\'ve done that well.

Death Note

Matsuda is easily one of my favourite Death Note characters. After L of course.

I just finished watching Toaru Majustu no Index. Was alright. Kind of found it hard to get into.

Adachi from Persona 4 really reminds me of Matsuda. Anyone else found that?

Yeah Matsuda is very likable, so much so that I hated when L told him he could make coffee. That's just cruel!

Yeh and i laughed when i heard Yousuke, knowing it was the voice actor for sasuke.

Yosuke's fucking awesome, mostly because of his voice actor. Guess who else that awesome guy voices? I mean I don't like Sasuke too much, but he voices:

- Roddick from Star Ocean 1!! (DRAGON ROAR!!)
- Derek from Trauma Center (I DISAGREE/I'M A DOCTOR/LET'S BEGIN THE OPERATION)

And some others. Also Yumi is like a much more depressed Welch, and Teddie's voice is Kakashi's! Now that's a good VA.
