Why is the Variety review so bad? I thought he had a few valid points.
Can you say that? Because I doubt youve played the game yourself.Personally I hope its not added to the GameRankings average.( Edited on 14.11.2007 21:32 by SuperLink )

Smilie, no chance of that happening.

Variety Magazine is crap, they disregard real films made my real filmmakers the world over. They are also sponsored by Sony, they have strong ties with them due to Sony Picture Classics. If they did not they would lose a lot of substantial content for both their magazine and website..

Are they sponsored by Sony? Okay, then that review cannot be reliable.

To be honest, it sounds like a purposeful joke. Smilie

I took a very sneaky peek at the gameplay marathon on Gamespot and saw a crazy level Smilie, but clicked out after a few seconds.

They have 4 hours of footage for anyone stupid enough Smilie

One day, just one more day.Smilie

I KNOW Smilie

This week has gone by so fast... it's a good time to be alive!! Smilie

I think am going to sleep very early today, to then wake up around 11pm and take a taxi into the West End to pick up a copy at GAME in Oxford Street. I intend on playing all through the night Smilie.

Dammit you're lucky. Me living on the corner of Britain, I highly doubt my local GAME will even be opening early let alone midnight.

And I've got college tomorrow too, so playing through the night wouldn't be a great idea for me anyway...

Mayb this weekend though Smilie

Having a sibling with similar interests to me is going to be very prohibiting isn't it? Ah well, at least he'll get off the PC more often. Smilie

I'm going to the GAME launch party thing in Oxford Street! Smilie
Can't wait... only a few hours now! Smilie

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

I am very tempted to go also, my car is in the garage though and I do not want to impose on any of my mates as they have work in the morning.

Super Mario Galaxy launch events at Game

One of the most anticipated games of the year for Wii owners is Super Mario Galaxy, and the wait is almost over. Due for UK release this Friday, November 16, eight Game stores will be opening the evening beforehand across the country to sell the game to fans who just can't wait.

Game stores in London's Oxford Street; Manchester; Birmingham; Cardiff; Dublin; Glasgow; Newcastle; and Belfast will be opening at 6 p.m. tomorrow, November 15, and are looking for gamers to get their cosplay on as they queue.

The cosplay competition is open to anyone dressed as his or her favourite Mario character--Princess Peach, perhaps--and the best-dressed at each of the eight stores will win a Nintendo Wii and a copy of Super Mario Galaxy. A total of 10 runners-up at each store will be given a Wii game and a goody bag, and the rest of the queuers will be given a goody bag "while stocks last."

Get your Mario moustaches on and whack on your dungarees.

What are you serious, how can they sell it before 12:01, anyway if that's the case I might as well go. I fucking hate the cold, and public transport Smilie.

I know FOOLS...!! No I think its better this way than to wait in the cold til midnight! And that gives us plenty of time to come home and play it!! WOOOO! Smilie

Personally, I doubt they'll sell it before midnight, you know? They might just be holding the event celebrating, but to actually buy it you have to go back the next day. :-/

I dunno though, & I never will.Smilie

NO I CALLED THEM AND ASKED... Just to make sure... they said they are holding the event between 6 and 9pm!

It does, if we can get in and buy without any major Q that would be well sweet, I just hate the idea of waiting outside on Oxford Street in this cold right now, I aint feeling to pretty as I have a flu.

This is weird, it was exactly the same on Wii Launch. I woke up with severe flu and could not drive, so got a taxi and ended up waiting in a small Q in the freezing cold outside Wembley Gamestation. It was not fun, I felt terrible and could not enjoy the experience.

I think I am just gonna overload on the Night Nurse and roll out Smilie.

I know they're holding an event, I just meant they might not be selling the actual game there.
