Official Super Mario Galaxy Thread

Some people have all the luck. Still, the 16th isn't too far away.

WOOHOO... Have you all seen the burst od SMG ads lately... i saw 3 last night in a mater of 3 minutes.. SMG AD, CAR AD, SMG AD, FOOD AD, SMG AD!!

Cought a glimpse of one. Surprised the hell outa me.

Never thought they'd get them on this early.

LOL... yeah they are pretty short... but cool non the less.. and they aren't just appearing on one channel... I've seen them on ITV, CHANNEL 4, FIVE and I think on E4 aswell!

Gooo Nintendo!

Why wasn't it like this for Metroid though?

And to think I have just been having a rant about the lack of it all on Matt Cassamacina's Blog. Why the hell is there not a dedicated channel streaming ads, there should be!

Hmmm, good post there. Kinda makes you yearn for the old adds. At least they knew their target audience.

The full one might be. I only saw one of those teaser clips.

On a positive note I must admit I never thought we would be seeing anything till next week, so at least they are starting at the right time. My hope is that it is consistent all throughout the rest of this month and December, that will surely result in the sales they want.

I would like to know how the sales of Galaxy are doing now in japan after that news story the other day, hopefully it's good news.

NO LS.. the ads were about 30 seconds long... the Wii logo short clip of Mario and then it ends with SUPER MARIO GALAXY 16 NOVEMBER! They were shown between on ITV1 after the first half of the match finished!

Ya i am not surprised at all about those scores, they are perfectly legit. I knew it wouldn't get a 10, because nothing is perfect (except Ocarina of Time apparently [10/10 on IGN])But from what ive seen the only complaints are that the game is easier than some might have liked, but thats fine because its all up to whether u want to collect all 120 stars or not right. Also i heard that there are some slight camera issues, but there arent going to be anything to unbearable cuz Matt Cassamasina was speaking highly of the camera's intelligence.

Oh and about commercials, i havent seen any on TV yet in Canada, but i had seen tons the week before Metroid Prime 3 came out. BTW in the US and Canada we have the "Wii would like to play" add still, although i would much rather have something with Mario music. A commercial for Galaxy more that just the Wii and then galaxy being featured in the commercial.

I mean picture this someone is watching TV in their living room and decides to go get a snack during commercials (as i often do), you would perusing your fridge and then you hear "do doo do, do de do doo" (the Mario Theme). It would instantly catch your attention and you would run back to your TV and be amazing by the idea of a new Mario game.

Because when you think about it the commercials aren't for those of us on the message boards all time reading up the reviews they are about those who never know about games till they see some ads. Some die hard N64 Mario fan may have overlooked gaming since Sunshine and not have purchased a Wii yet. I dunno just my opinion.
